It’s been a long time since Texas sounded this good imo, their last couple of singles could have easily been from their heyday of the late 90s.

I agree, if this or 'Hi' was an album track on the Hush or White on Blonde, it would just fit right in.

I do like this, its a grower, say what you want just happened to be on a radio about an hour ago, its a great song and one of their big highlights.

Has nothing on 'Mr Haze', 'Mr Haze' just gets better on each listen.

The album is out now. Really good, easily their best since Red Book for me, and their most ‘classic Texas’ sounding since the 90s.

You Can Call Me and Falling are my favourites of the album tracks - the former has production that’s pretty reminiscent of Say What You Want. And Falling reminds me a bit of Constant Craving by k.d. lang. Hi and Mr Haze remain their two best singles in a very, very long time for me too.

I agree it's very classic Texas, I think at the moment I still prefer the previous releases album tracks to this one. Like at the moment, I don't think there's a stand out for single number three, Unbelievable maybe?

Yeah I think they'll go with either Unbelievable or You Can Call Me, if they promote four singles from the album I think they'll put out both.

But Hi and Mr Haze definitely made the most sense as the first two singles.

#03 in the midweeks is a great result, hope it can hold on. Can't see Taylor Swift's album increasing throughout the week, surely it's behind Texas due to the vinyl.
Id love it to hold top 3 but they will def hold top 5, sales are ok to and should easily make 10k by the end of the week.

Really enjoying this album now after a couple of listens, would probably skip 'Moonstar' and 'Just Want To Be Liked'.

Please can we discuss Red Book, it really doesn't get the attention it deserves. It's so so good!

Yeah it's a really good album, and should have been much bigger, it had a strong run of singles and the production was really polished and strong - Brian Higgins' of Xenomania's involvement on some of the tracks really gave it a contemporary sound at the time.

You Can Call Me has been played on Radio 2's 'new to 2' section according to the playlist thread in the chart forum, so is presumably the next single from Hi? I hope so, it was my favourite on the album after Mr Haze and Hi, so reminiscent of the Say What You Want production.

Red book has always been my fave Texas album and it's a shame it was less successful than albums they had previously released.

Wasn't 'Getaway' all over the radio at the time as well, I really thought they'd be in for another big era after the previous album didn't fare so well.

I guess sadly 'Can't Resist' performance didn't help anything, busy time of year for release. 'Let Me Sleep' would've been perfect in the run up to Christmas as well.

In case it's been missed, the video for 'You Can Call Me' is below.

Also, a new remix of Mr Haze by GBX & Paul Keenan, which sounds very early 2000, worth a listen.
