Not much of a solo artist looking at that list!

I still love ‘Mull of Kintyre’ it was number one the first Xmas I started watching the TOTP repeats about ten years ago, there was something iconic about it even in the repeats!

I assume it’s a cover or reworking of an old British/Irish song though?

It samples the tune of Auld Lang Syne apparently (never picked up on that myself ) but other than that's it's an original!

It kinda just sounds like one of them old folk British songs, yeh Old Land Sang clearly as the pipe band came in at the end too!

bizarre list. Streaming-era releases, Band On The Run album, and the number ones!

Coming Up UK was a genuine synthpop solo gem, the US version was a live mess.

Gems not on the list:

Another Day

Waterfalls

Listen To What The Man Says

Uncle Albert/Admiral halsey (US chart-topper)

Let 'Em In

Here Today (John Lennon tribute)

Take It Away

Goodnight Tonight

Tug Of War

This One

Every Night

Helen Wheels

Magneto & Titanium Man

my point was not by looking at that list 🙄

Yeh that list is random and sums up the streaming era I guess!
