Jonny Clayton has claimed a maiden individual TV title to add to his World Cup triumph for Wales last year with an 11-8 victory over Mervyn King in the final of the 2021 Masters.

Clayton hit a 104 average in a superb display to once again deny King another opportunity at a TV title and in doing so has also claimed a debut spot in the 2021 Premier League as the final 10th player which was only revealed in the post match title ceremony.

Jonny Clayton claimed the Premier League Darts title at his first attempt by beating Jose de Sousa 11-5 in Friday's final in Milton Keynes.

'The Ferret' had earlier ended Michael van Gerwen's perfect Premier League semi-final record, edging the favourite 10-8 at the Marshall Arena.

Grand Slam of Darts champion De Sousa had won through 10-9 against last year's runner-up Nathan Aspinall.

But it was Welshman Clayton who took home the £250,000 first prize.
