Im more into certain songs when im in a particular mood - mariah's music touches me and you can call it banshee wailing or whatever else you said but if you haven't felt what she's 'screeching' on about then of course you're not going to really feel the music.

 

 

Butterfly is one of my favourites :wub: I interpret it as changing into a butterfly from a caterpillar i.e breaking free from a depression which is ugly like a caterpillar to getting ur life back together and turning it around into something beautiful - like a butterfly.

Well I remember hearing It's Like That (and I never followed Mariah previously) and I thought it was catchy, but I was quite disappointed that it didn't feature her signature amazing vocals.

 

And one Monday I had £20 spare, and I was going to Woolies to buy Natalie Imbruglias album, and I remember seeing Mariahs and thought that since I was a bit disappointed with the lack of vocals on It's Like That there maybe more on the album, so I bought it.

 

I had seen people on forums talking about We Belong Together and I hadn't heard it, and then I listened to Imbruglias album all day, then decided to put Mariahs on for 10 minutes, and I got onto We Belong Together, was completely amazed, put it on repeat and the rest is history. :wub:

Since our campaign over at CC though I am over half way to owning her entire back catalogue. Every single and album :wub:
