The main worry for KEiiNO is actually getting out of MGP - principally from the other autoqualifier from this week that I don't think makes any sense to anyone outside of Norway but is doing really well on the local iTunes/Spotify.

I was really impressed with last night's show. Ended up downloading 3 out of 4 competing songs, Beady Belle surprised me so much - loved that one, she was like a Norwegian Roisin Murphy.

 

Obviously, Monument is the song to send - it's got Eurovision winner vibes all over it despite it being so early in the season. Unfortunately, I do think TIX might cause an upset in the MGP results - unless a jury vote could potentially take him down? Even then though, the song has a sensibility that it could appeal to a jury anyway.

 

Norway would crash and burn in the semis at Eurovision with TIX though I reckon - it feels like some kind of in-joke to anyone who isn't Norwegian! I've heard that he will translate his entry to English should it be chosen, so perhaps it would have more international appeal once that happens?

The right result on Saturday, "Let Loose" was only my third favourite based on the songs but what a great performance, it really helped to elevate it (whilst taking down "Elevate" :P)

 

Loved TIX as well, it's like Azerbaijan 2008 or Croatia 2019 but with the ridiculous level notched up further :lol:

Aside from Keiino? :P This isn’t quite as blatant as Lithuania, but it’s pretty lunch Monument’s to lose.

I don't really keep up with the national finals, so I wasn't sure if there were any underdogs :lol: but that's good to hear!
