Marry The Night music video premiers!

 

10 years ago, Gaga premiered the music video for Marry The Night.

 

The video was filmed in Staten Island and New York and is an autobiographical look at Gaga's battles and rise to fame. According to Gaga, it was the story that she had never told us before. She explains that: "I know how rejection feels in the business. I got signed, I got dropped, I got signed again. That's actually what the 'Marry the Night' video is about. It's about one of the most horrible days of my life when I got dropped from my first record label and it's the story of what happened that day."

Her best video perhaps?

It's a truly epic video. It is perhaps the video I return to the most even though it's not technically my absolute favourite. It is just so replayable and tells a haunting story with vivid reality. There are so many scenes I could pick out as favourites, but nothing fires me up more than the final car/rain/fire scenes: truly electrifying. :wub:

I literally remember where I was when I watched the MTN video for the first time.

 

The impact this woman has had on me over the past 12 years is insane.

It's bizarre that the video still has under 100 million views. Of course it's longer than the average music videos and the song starts after several minutes but still.

It was also so late into the album campaign remember! Also very targeted at her biggest fans because it's her personal story. Regardless of views, it's a masterpiece.
