Same with 1987 and 1991.

 

In my opinion that led to much stronger Christmas Nows in 1990 and 1991 as there were twice as many potential inclusions in each.

Same also with 1985 and 1986

This is slightly off topic but is there anyone here who owns every single NOW album physically? Or at least most of them? I'd be interested to know, as I started collecting them a couple of years ago as you can get them for as little as 50p in charity shops (obviously not the older ones as they're much rarer), but obviously my collection stopped when the pandemic hit!

 

I'm getting there.. once I've got the re-issues of 8 and 9 I just need to buy the originals of 10-16 and I'm done.

 

I don't tend to bother with all the spin-offs though. Except for the Now Dance ones in the 90s, and the 10th anniversary specials. There's one guy who's been on the news who has everything.

There's a Now Facebook group if anyone's interested. Some there have every release including spin-offs.
