I've been giving this some time this week after having the Red album as one of my least played from her. I am so totally becoming a fan now! The additional tracks are largely great but the clear winner is 'Message In A Bottle' - what an explosive joyous song!! Phoebe Bridgers also does a great job in 'Nothing New', their two voices compliment each other beautifully.

 

So glad we are getting these albums and that new songs are gaining the limelight.

 

Ready for the next one now, she is just unstoppable and such a superstar recently. :wub:

I love everything about this post! Red was one of my least favourite albums (eventhough I liked it) and I played it the least (along with the first album although I only experienced the first album recently for the rate). But the re-recording has brought this alive to me. And message in a bottle is amazing.

 

Each time I’m listening to the album, different songs are jumping out at me.

Red and the debut were also my two least played. I think it's because the singles from this originally were far from my favourite singles from her so I never felt like replaying the album. But as you say, with this version of the album I am really paying attention to many of the other tracks that were overlooked when the singles were EVERYWHERE at the time so they are able to shine now in their own right. And then there's the vault tracks which add even more life to the album! I am glad I have this on vinyl too instead of the original because it seems like the complete package how she intended it to be.

I’ve just received an email saying my CD has been dispatched and will arrive in 1-4 days. So excited to see it.

I received my unsigned copy of Red (Taylor's Version) today!

If it wasn’t for the 3 track only charting rule from an artist, Taylor would have had another 25 tracks charting from Red in the top 75 !!

Good point! I wonder if she’ll try and make her voice sounds sort of young still or just go for a more mature sound.

I’ll be interested to see how popular it is. I doubt it will get to number 1 unless it is released in a very quiet week.
