February 26, 20215 yr It's a bit dramatic to say they're done with CB, they could quite easily playlist the next one if it looks like being a hit "Higher" might have become a hit if it had got playlisted on there. Let’s see if any of their future singles get playlisted on there Edited February 26, 20215 yr by Hadji
February 26, 20215 yr Very surprised no Ella, Tom playlisting. It was launched off BBC Graham Norton show and has been at the top of ITunes pretty much all week. I wonder if the couple of lines playing on the word ‘f*ck’ have had any impact on its airtime?? Edited February 26, 20215 yr by Marty
February 26, 20215 yr I just had a look at the BBC's editorial guidelines, this is what it says about it: Thanks for finding this :) So it looks like they stick to censored version of tracks, with a few slight exceptions. I remember when they did Europe's Biggest Dance Show last year. The Netherlands' hour (which was around 8pm GMT) was filled with expletives (pretty bad ones, too) as the Dutch don't seem to have censorship rules (at least not at that time of day). Cue a recording from Annie Mac every half an hour or so apologising for the bad language  Edited February 26, 20215 yr by roz061

I wonder if the couple of lines playing on the word ‘f*ck’ have had any impact on its airtime?? Graham Norton show has no bearing on whether R1 playlist it. I doubt the play on words would matter either, it's not like they actually swear. I imagine it will be added in the next week or two.

February 26, 20215 yr yes, I agree, it's just a bad song, not good enough they should forget about Higher and release the one with MNEK!!! Higher has got decent playlist support on Spotify, added quickly to HH where it has always been around track #30 but it's not even top 200 on Spotify, clearly something's off with the song and the GP doesn't like it
February 26, 20215 yr Brilliant to see A1 being added. Haven’t heard it yet but am hoping it’ll be my favourite one of theirs since Same Old Brand New You 😂
February 26, 20215 yr Wolf Alice's new album seems to be pretty heavily anticipated in the indiesphere, I'm not surprised at them being insta A-Listed! I still think there's a chance Clean Bandit might yet be playlisted but I'm shedding no tears if they are indeed snubbing them, their music has gone so rapidly downhill. (This song is better than their last 2 singles for me but it's still very much mediocre and a shadow of their former quality). Strange to see a song that is already a UK top 100 hit on the Introducing playlist - albeit the momentum that Mimi Webb song had chartwise seems to have suddenly dried up since it only spent one week at #85 a couple of weeks ago before dropping straight back out oops.

March 2, 20215 yr Thanks for those! I only ever do the daytime ones to coincide with the playlist rotation but it's nice to see what the evening DJs are spinning
