Hello everyone, thought I'd try and predict the Year To Date top 40 that OC do every April. This is just based off certification data, observing songs movements of the charts and my own judgement, I don't have that much info on the sales data, but I'm predicting the top 10 to be this:

1. Drivers Licence

2. WITHOUT YOU

3. Blinding Lights

4. Wellerman

5. Don’t Play

6. Paradise

7. Head & Heart

8. Sweet Melody

9. The Business

10. Mood

And I reckon the rest of the YTD top 40 will consist of these songs in alphabetical order:

34+35

Afterglow

Anyone

Calling My Phone

Dance Monkey

Friday

Get Out My Head

Good Days

Goosebumps

Heat Waves

Latest Trends

Lemonade

Levitating

Loading

Looking For Me

Midnight Sky

Positions

Prisoner

Really Love

Save Your Tears

See Nobody

Someone You Loved

Streets

Take You Dancing

Therefore I Am

Watermelon Sugar

What You Know Bout Love

Whoopty

Willow

You Broke Me First

Anyone want to add anything?

I realise now that Streets should be on here, and should replace No Time For Tears
Hiya - I’m planning to do some (hopefully reasonably accurate) estimates of this over the next week or so, including the week just gone. Wellerman will be up to Number 2.

Looking at the Spotify YTD so far (which doesn't currently include this weeks); songs in the top 40 on that which you missed from your list are:

#32 Cardi B feat. Megan Thee Stallion - WAP (could make the OCC list potentially?)

#33 The Killers - Mr. Brightside (won't make the OCC list)

#34 Fredo feat. Dave - Money Talks (doubt it)

#37 DaBaby feat. Roddy Ricch - ROCKSTAR (probably won't)

#39 Harry Styles - Golden (probably not)

#40 Juice WRLD - Wishing Well (definitely not)

There might be a possibility that Train Wreck could make it, which currently sits at #46 on the Spotify list, but probably an outside shot

FYI this is what I had to the end of February but I haven’t added any March figures yet:

1 Drivers license 524(k)

2 Without you 222

3 Blinding lights 210

4 Sweet melody 200

5 Paradise 195

6 Head & heart 191

7 Don’t play 187

8 Afterglow 185

9 Anyone 182

10 Get out my head 182

11 Wellerman 175

12 34+35 174

13 Whoopty 172

14 Mood 170

15 The business 168

16 Levitating 160

17 You broke me first 146

18 Prisoner 143

19 Positions 143

20 Lemonade 136

21 Good days 136

22 Goosebumps 135

23 Streets 124

24 Midnight sky 119

25 Dance monkey 117

26 Someone you loved 115

Are you sure Wellerman would have outsold Without You? Without You seems to have done consistently very well. Wouldn't be surprised if Wellerman was no.3 but if it ends up being no.2 that would surprise me

Wellerman’s come up very quickly since it started doing 50k per week. To last week I have roughly 350k Wellerman and 335k Without You.
