You would have to assume that the Thursday estimate wouldn’t move the needle on whether a song declined or not relative to the available Wednesday figures. IE. If a song was due a decline from the actual figures up to Wednesday it would get one from the Thursday estimate and vice versa.

Not sure how good its premium ratio is, but I wonder if Bitter Sweet Symphony could make an appearance on the YTD list. Feel it could get a boost in a couple of months too from the World Cup

It’s getting less popular in absolute terms but not in relative terms. The rule is sound but it should work both ways. If you increase by less than the market it counts as a decline

Thought that Sean Paul song was likely to enter soon, had been pulling strong numbers on Spotify for a while. Have to assume Sweater Weather is still close as that is currently the highest placed song on the Spotify YTD which is not here. I see that it has also recently become the third most streamed song of all time on the platform which is insane.

Anyone else noticed that Kworb's Spotify data isn't as good as it used to be. When I want to look at a weekly history for a song, there seems to be loads missing now. 'Unwritten' is the best example of this

Amazing find! Looks like it works for older years too. Can see Lovin on Me was #203 in 2023 (which seems very low) for example.
