Her label really think delaying the album 1 month is worth it, that they are gonna have a hit in 1 month without any playlist or radio support? miracles dont happen.

Delaying the album isn't gonna help at all. She's not going to get a hit single, might as well get the album out there.

Yeah, can’t see the point in delaying this. Hopefully it works for her though.

what she actually wrote on IG:

To my incredible fans- I’m sorry to announce that we’re delaying the release of Higher Than Heaven to March 24. I know you’ve all been so patient with me but we’ve had some exciting opportunities appear behind the scenes which I cannot wait to share with you in due course.

Hmm would this be promo opportunities? Like television appearances? Meaning it’d be better to release the album then.

My only thought is she is could be doing eurovison? As she is with the management who arrange it. Would probably either kill her off completely or do wonders

That’d be an interesting move. One I’m not against for her.

 

I think her career is past its peak, so it wouldn’t do too much damage. Might even slightly revive it

Maybe Sam Ryder's participation and success since has given it a bit of credibility again, so perhaps couldn't be out of the question.

 

Why would she move the release date of the album closer to the show if she's to focus on preparing for her entry in the time between?

My thoughts but I just cant fathom what other opportunity could be?

Tap management are commenting on her posts, I think this is looking likely unfortunately.

 

I'm guessing song announcement and tie in with album release.

 

If it is going to happen I wonder if it’ll be a song already on the album or a new one they add on.

Ellie is under TAP but doing Eurovision would be a step back for the UK imo.

Ellie is doing another collab with Calvin Harris. Banger incoming.

I wonder if this is the opportunity she’s referring to. Should be a good song though, they have a good track record.

Calvin is not the hits machine he once was, so good luck to her. :coffee:

More of a hits machine than Ellie is though :kink:

I'm pretty sure Calvin could still be if he was as prolific with his standard fare, he just hasn't really released anything in recent times.

 

And yes, if course there is that very salient point above.

All By Myself is doing good but I wonder if they will add it to the album so she has a couple of guaranteed popular lead singles? Let's face it, it will be popular.
