Seriously though #17 is definitely higher than I would have expected, it's a lot higher than anything off their last album ever managed. After how 'Orphans' did I was really wondering if they would even still be getting top 40 hits with the next era. I guess they are going for a more commercial sound this time though.

 

They have 5 top 10 hits on Spotify (the ones that you would guess just from looking at their chart history) but bar 'Something Just Like This' I think they all predate Spotify becoming so ubiquitous.

good thing is Alexa loves Pink :) Thats why Cover Me in Sunshine is charting, the song has been top 50 on Amazon for weeks

 

Like said before, it's a true streaming hit across the globe, not just "Alexa fad". It's been top 60 Spotify global weekly chart, no need to play it down.

in the UK, Cover me in sunshine is charting cos of Amazon, otherwise it wouldn't even be top 100

#24 worldwide

#1 in Australia (first time it's got there) + Ireland (was there already)

#2 in New Zealand

#10 in Norway

#14 in Canada

#21 in Sweden

#24 in the Netherlands

#64 in the USA !!

 

That's just looking at the countries coi highlighted the other day as its biggest (plus the US) - clicking around a few others I see it is also #7 in Estonia, #11 in Bulgaria, #12 in Denmark, #21 in Austria, #21 in Belgium, #25 in Switzerland, #27 in Finland, #29 in Greece (etc., basically looks like it is charting reasonably well in most of the small to medium European markets) and #81 in Germany. It is yet to chart at all in France and Spain though (I guess they are harder markets for English language songs in general to crack) and still only has the Italian-specific remix charting in Italy, currently #33.

 

I'm guessing it'll have nearly 0 sales and more importantly airplay in the US so it'll need to rise a lot further on streaming to crack the Hot 100 but willing it to happen to be the first UK drill song to chart there (something that didn't even happen with the Headie One/Drake collab). It is rising very quickly on US Spotify, only its third day in the top 200 and it moved 147-99-64 so far, who knows how long it'll keep that momentum but very impressive for now at least.

I wonder if body can hit 1 million Spotify streams combined when it reaches its peak number of streams? Very impressive if it can happen! Has any song reached that before on Spotify just out of curiosity?
'drivers license' most recently had several days doing over 1 million in a day - it is quite rare though, most of the songs that have managed it are either Christmas songs or Ed Sheeran :lol:
Just need Pink to record a Christmas song this year then :lol:

 

(they'll start entering the chart in just around 6 months from now...)

Polyhex is telling me Coldplay’s last top 10 single was ‘Hymn For The Weekend’ in 2016, the singles since have done poorly especially the lead for the last album albeit it was uncommercial. Was the Chainsmokers track in 2017?

but J Cole already big dropped more than 20 positions, down to #35

 

another song big dropping is Billie Eilish :/ out of the top 20 on Apple

but more bizarrely out of the top 200 on Amazon! bad bad Alexa :(
