Written by Gaga and produced by DJ White Shadow, the song features rap verses from T.I., Too Short and Twista. The song often divides fans as proven here, racking up an score only just above average. Gaga premiered the song at the iTunes Festival alongside Too $hort and Twista - T.I. was unable to participate in the festival after his entry in the UK was denied, just before the album dropped.

Here is what Gaga said about the song: "Jewels N' Drugs" is also a song I did with DJ White Shadow, and he really shines on hip-hop records, and he hails from Chicago, so there’s a lot of trap influence on this song; but it really starts on kind of in a space where trap music started, and really grows into a more electronic, sort of innovative progressive-trap song. And I was really excited to work with T.I., to work with Too $hort - who’s really amazing - and Twista, who’s from Chicago. So, you know, that’s a very special song for me. Also, because a lot of times when I have these hip-hop collaborations, they like, dissipate, into thin air; and I think it’s because, these rappers like, go back into their crews, and their groups, and everybody goes like “I don’t know if you should work with Lady Gaga, ‘cause she’s got like, gay fans, and you know, I don’t know if that’s gonna be a good look for you…” but these guys are totally fearless, and they just don’t care about any of that, and they really wanted to make a record that was inclusive, that involved everybody, and they weren’t afraid to bring those communities together and put them in one room, and I really appreciate that.

I don't think it's even close to being the worst on this album :'( Didn't deserve last place, but I can see why it has managed it given the very vocal disdain from many!

Gaga's mind: I'll put this shit song on my new album while I'll forget this gem forever

:neyde:

She has so many mistakes in her career, and most are her fault.
Your wish is my command.. :magic:

Oh my what is this magic?! I wish for a million wishes!

Also, Gypsy, Sexx Dreams or Free. My. Mind. ARTPOP! to win,

I actually prefer the version without Gaga on Kendrick's album! It is a gem in any form though, I agree <3

I don't think that remix was ever going to be on Gaga album lol Or how many popstars have released a remix for another's track later on their own album anyway.

It's like Miley including Without You on her next album in 2022.

You mistook the point. I didn't say that Gaga would include Bitch don't kill my vibe on ARTPOP, I said that she chose to add J&D, a rotten song, on her album, that releasing a good song like Bitch doesn't kill my vibe before ARTPOP was released.

She probably fought with Kendrick (just like she did with half the industry), which is why he had to release "Bitch don't kill my vibe" on his own and after 2012 they never interacted again.

Yup!! It was over how they wanted her in the video. Just do the video, GaGa!! Have a huge hit pre-artpop to build into Gypsy and have your aesthetic for the era start then.

She really should hire me and Adelita as her managers.
