Effective enough, I like the mood and that look when she's sitting in the tree. Yes sis evolve that hairstyle into something more interesting. Have to say the song has grown on me a lot since first listen.

Some of the green screen is... interesting to say the least  but it does its job I guess and she looks STUNNING! The song was definitely a grower for me too!

Finally listening and I'm bopping to it.

I hope its just a promo-ish single though (ffs at us not being in a new era yet) and we get Emotions ASAP cos I need that one rn.

it's l*aked and I am OBSESSED :cheeseblock: :cheeseblock:

the sample works sfg and I really hope they release it as a single soon, I can see it smashing in Europe!

There's rumours that the Heaven & Hell deluxe with 7 new songs is coming v. soon, I wonder if that's true & if so if Emotions will be on it as I've seen conflicting info that it's for the deluxe or for AM2

you all better buy and stream Emotions like crazy once its out

Ava is gonna be bankrupt for the rest of her life cos of that ABBA sample :D

That's a really good point actually, despite all her earnings from 'Sweet But Psycho' and her other two sizeable hits she must be in serious debt from spending every dime she has on an ABBA sample.
Why assume that it’s her own money that went towards it? She’s signed to Atlantic, a subsidiary of Warner - one of the three majors. Using Lay All Your Love on Me for this song must have been considered a worthwhile venture by the label, why do it otherwise?
of course were joking about Ava going bankrupt, it's of course there label paying for all those samples

Her previous music that has recognisable melodies, they are actually interpolations - not direct samples. I know people say sample because it’s a more common phrase, but they’re technically incorrect to say it.

While a sample is a snippet of an original song that’s been copied and pasted into an entirely new piece, an interpolation is when a recording is recreated note for note and reflects the underlying composition.

The process for clearing interpolations and samples is slightly different. When you sample something, you must get permission for a master use license from the owner of the master recording (normally a record label), and permission for a copyright license from the owner of the underlying composition (normally a publisher). This is because you are featuring both the recording and the underlying composition in a new musical work.

However, if you are just doing an interpolation of a song, you only need to get permission from the owner of the underlying composition since you are just featuring the underlying composition — not the original recording — in your new song.

So for example, My Head & My Heart interpolates the melody made well known in the ATC song. Presumably this is a cheaper and quicker process.
