With the current Writers Strike, CBS is looking at options to expand Season 25 should the strike continue into the Fall.

CBS did leverage Big Brother with the last writers strike, giving us Big Brother 9 lol.

 

Season 25 may end up being 2nd Chances or Half Newbies and Half Allstars. However, if they did do a Newbie season, and the strike continues, I'd love to see them do what C4 did at the end of BBUK and have a 3 Week Winners Only season (perhaps the same structure as they did with Celebrity Big Brother).

 

They have a strong pool to draw off of, and specifically winners that have only said they'd return to a Winners Only season. Names that immediately come to mind:

 

 

Big Brother 2 - Will Kirby: He will be asked. He will always be asked back. I think if it was a condensed season, Will could be a lock. If it's a longer season, no chance.

Big Brother 3 - Lisa Donahue: I'm not sure if they would go back this far and ask Lisa, I'd love to see her again, but I don't think she's the strongest out of the winners group.

Big Brother 4 - Jun Song: They would do this Winners Only season just to accommodate her. She needs to come back.

Big Brother 10 - Dan Gheesling: He's a lock for sure.

Big Brother 11 - Jordan Lloyd: I actually think the likelihood is high, she was a great winner, very overlooked.. and outside of Dan and Nicole, Jordan was the closest we've come to a 2X Winner.

Big Brother 13 - Rachel Reilly: Unless she's pregnant again, she's a lock.

Big Brother 14 - Ian Terry: I likely think he will be asked, but in my opinion.. we don't need him.

Big Brother 15 - Andy Herren: I think he should be asked, being one of only a few LGBTQ+ Winners, but I'm not sure they'll ask Andy.

Big Brother 16 - Derrick Levasseur: They'll ask him, unfortunately. I hope he has a conflict because I don't want him anywhere near this season.

Big Brother 18 - Nicole Franzel: Another lock for sure.

Big Brother 19 - Josh Martinez: Josh 100% wants to return, but I think he's on ice at the moment given a few instances on The Challenge. They may forego asking him.

Big Brother 20 - Kaycee Clark: Another lock, the only way she doesn't do it is if there is a conflict with The Challenge.

Big Brother 22 - Cody Calafiore: I am sick of Cody, but he will be asked for sure.

Big Brother 23 - Xavier Prather: Lock for sure.

Big Brother 24 - Taylor Hale: Lock for sure.

No Chance, But would be great!

 

Not perfect, so many variables in play such as how long the season will be, and obviously a desire to meet some type of diversity in the house.

12 at most, 6 Men and 6 Women. That really does mean we would likely get Jun, Rachel, Nicole, Kaycee, Taylor and maybe Jordan?

The men obviously have a larger pool to draw from, I'm thinking Will, Dan, Derrick, Cody, Xavier and maybe that last spot goes to Andy or Josh to fill out more diversity.

 

CBS seems more willing these days to tell more of the long term story with these players - so having Nicole and Cody after Allstars is almost a lock for the drama alone.

The challenge CBS has is the likes of Dan and Derrick who were cut from the last Allstars for trying to create an alliance before the season even started. Cody and Nicole had a heavy hand in this as well, but, still made the cast.

 

Just please GOD keep Nicole, Derrick and Cody away from this, even if it is a short length season. Jun and Rachel need to come back for sure, and I’d actually be interested to see Andy. I think I’d prefer a second chances but only if it was casted well unlike BB22, it would have to be a fanfic level cast with so much fan service which will never ever happen :lol: All Winners would be fun for a short thing but I could not and will not tolerate 3 months of Nicole Franzel. I hope if this is a thing they don’t even bother with those few because of the pregaming last time, even if that means we don’t get Dan, my favourite winner in and of himself.

If they ever did another All Stars, I’d definitely only want it to be a shorter Celeb style season. But yes, please keep the likes of Nicole, Cody and Christmas well and truly clear from it!

Oh that's a great callout, Liam to add Tamar. She would fit right in and definitely rounds the house out more on the diversity. I think she would fit in very well, even if she is the only Celeb (please dear god no Miesha.. but now that I'm thinking about it..... lol) Meisha was a strong player, just... awful story. That whole season played out terribly. However, I would absolutely stan Rachel and Miesha winning all the comps and cleaning out the house.

 

I'm on the same page with the two of you on Nicole, Cody and Derrick. Out of the three I'd probably only want to see Nicole come back, but I also want them to play around with the Nicole/Cody saga. But, having 3 from one season alone is a bit much.

Season 25 isn’t starting until August 2nd.. meaning this season won’t wrap until November.

Ugh, a delayed start probably makes the most sense to help them out whilst the strike is ongoing, but just give us two back-to-back seasons you cowards!!!

Given no Summer Season this year I've lightly been doing a re-watch.

Unfortunately one of the seasons I decided to give a Re-Watch to was Big Brother All Stars 2 :lol:

 

Ugh. What a disappointment this season was. No doubt this season would NOT have been All-Stars if it wasn't for the pandemic. However, looking back I'm still impressed with the ensemble we got, but it definitely needed more tweaking to make it successful. Pre-gaming obviously ruled this season and highly influenced the outcome. But I have to admit there is some really poor gameplay this season on all fronts.

 

From a casting perspective, you can't really beat Cody, Ian and Tyler. They were always going to return. Although I like Kaysar... this game is clearly not for him lol.

David for me was a huge disappointment, he shouldn't have been asked back.. he's not All-Star worthy. My disappointment lies in the fact I found out Beau Beasley was asked but it never went anywhere. Beau/Janelle and Kaysar together again would have been HILARIOUS. But also balances out adding older players into the season. I also feel they could have flexed Kevin out and replaced him with Beau as well.

 

For the Females. Of course. Nicole F, Dani, Janelle, Da'Vonne were always going to be asked back. I actually think the women were very balanced this season.

I always hated Christmas. It kills me that she was only an alternate and landed in the house.

 

I'm just at Jury now with my re-watch and the first half of this season is highly uncomfortable to watch. The "other side" of the house (Kaysar, Janelle, Da'Vonne ect...) were always so close to winning HOH in every competition prior to Jury... it hurts. The HOH Order this season was just... awful.

 

Christmas' HOH was just as uncomfortable to watch the second time around, however, looking again with fresh eyes... I have to say Bayleigh really fumbled with Christmas disclosing Da'Vonne as her number one. Both Bayleigh and Da'Vonne had sloppy gameplay this season. Da'Vonne using the veto on Kevin the following week was... ???!??!! what?! Sure he's a number for you, but that number clearly isn't going to stick around that much longer. This was really Da'Vonne's chance to get in good with this big alliance that was clearly getting ready to turn on each other.

 

Dani's HOH as well :lol: god messy messy. FOUR NOMINEES?! Your target was TYLER. He was on the block at the end of the week and STILL didn't go home. Dani really fumbled this season as well, playing too hard too quickly and winning that HOH exposed way too much of her gameplay. Getting Ian out did absolutely nothing for her game. He wasn't even close to coming after her.

It’s looking like episodes will be Tuesday (Veto) / Thursday (Eviction/HOH) and Sunday (Nominations)*

However Sunday’s Episodes will be 10PM Eastern… I dunno wtf they are thinking with that one….

I wonder who they will drop, seems to be a given these days after the cast release.

 

Red Utley: Absolutely not. Seems like a mash of Cornbread and Spencer Clawson.

Bowie Jane: I get Christmas/Rockstar/Nicole BB24 vibes and not in a good way.

Blue Kim: ABSOLUTELY YES.

Cameron Hardin: We've had these men before and they always go out Pre-Jury. My prediction here has not changed.

America Lopez: Yes.

Izzy Gleicher: I like her for now, but she seems like a carbon copy of a former BBCAN Contestant.

Jared Fields: Didn't really stand out.

Cory Wurtenberger: Seems like Kyle 2.0.

Hisam Goueli: Maybe, if he can stop yelling.

Felicia Cannon: I like her, but early boot probably?

Jag Bains: Yes I like him.

Reilly Smedley: Young, white, pretty, probably looking for a Showmance. Pass.

Spoilers (light):

Jared is Cirie Field’s Son (Survivor, The Traitors) and Cory is Zach Wurtenberger (Survivor 42)’s Brother

I'm not entirely sure about this cast, I don't have any particular strong feelings about any of them aside from a couple. But who knows at this point. It's gonna be a long ride.

 

Blue - I just have a feeling that I'm gonna really like her. I like that she's committed to the chaos and chaos usually means fun feeds as long as they're game-related and not personal. I don't know where she's going to align, but I hope things turn out well for her.

Mecole - I know that people are turned off by her being a political consultant and it makes people scared that she's gonna be another Omarosa, but I think this could work out well for her? She could play dirty, she could be very knowledgeable with her words and have a good social game, or she could get by just enough to slide down the middle. Overall I think I like her, I just need more from her. Also I get a hunch that she likes Marvel or sci-fi. One of the two.

Kirsten - she is HOT, like BOMBSHELL hot. I find her very likely to hang with the guys more, but I also think she might surprise people.

Hisam - I think he can also do well, he could win but he could also fizzle out way too early and get shafted in the double. Could be iconic, but also probably thinks he's funnier than he actually is. I don't even know if there's anyone in the cast who has the natural charisma to be a narrator for the season like Azah/Turner.

Jared - It's been a while since we've had a reality show nepo baby on BB but the last time was Dani Donato and we all know where that went 😒 Ngl I was pretty interested in what he was gonna give. I think he can do very well but hopefully he isn't another Monte.

Side note: I don't keep up with Survivor but from what I've heard Cirie is a treat so maybe like mother like son.

Felicia - I'm not too enthused on her as much as everyone else in the tag is, I think she's fine. She might win a memory comp or two but will probably be more known for one-liners if anything.

Cory - Another one I can't really pinpoint. I honestly think he's gonna be Turner but way less funny. Other than that... he's all right.

Jag - Seems nice but again not giving enough. He could also be funny.

Matt - He's giving Tyler, but he's also giving Daniel Durant. I know everyone has made up their mind about him, he could be a menace, but he could also be a sweetheart. Keeping my eye on him for now.

America - I feel like I should like her but after Paloma I'm more wary of the tiny girl who has all this pent up energy. That said... there's something about her and I can't pinpoint what. Into the middle tier she goes.

Bowie Jane - She'll either be great or she'll be irritating as all f***. Or a mixture of both like BB21 Christie.

Luke - Soooooooo generic. 😴 I do feel like once we get into the house we'll start to peel off layer after layer (we're already doing that with him having been on Tumblr) but idk he's just not giving what needed to be gave.

Izzy - She bored me ngl. I don't think she'll be irritating... I think she'll be just there.

Reilly - She's giving me Alyssa S vibes and I'm not feeling that so we're just gonna scoot on over...

Cameron - SO BORING. Even his intro nearly put me to sleep.

Red - I've seen his archetype a million times and they almost never go well. He won't be the last. I really don't like him. If anyone is gonna end up pulling a Cornbread it's this guy.

 

I feel like I'm gonna have to wait for the season to start for me to get accustomed to this cast. I still feel attached to last season's.

Julie and her nonsense gibberish - WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!

Twitter seems to suggest that Brittany, Danielle and Frankie are in the game in some capacity (probably as coaches?). It’s also been pointed out there are more beds than housemates.

 

Is having Frankie to deal with Frankie worth Danielle and Brittany? Yes. In my opinion.

I do think we are in for more housemates, likely vets, but maybe not those three.
