oh I was rather enjoying their non presence in EDM recently.

let’s hope they’ve used their break to improve somewhat as much of their latest material wasn’t that good.

I’m ashamed to admit that I loved their first album. Don’t Say, Young, Paris, My Type, and Honest were all great! Hopefully they go back to this.

‘Riptide’ is out tonight, sounds really good from the preview on their social media! Very Summery

They’ve also confirmed that the hook was written by Chris Martin.

Has anyone checked out the album yet? Is it even worth bothering with?

iNews gives it 2/5. None of the other major blogs/papers have even bothered with it

I Love U has a video

Thought I'd check this out this evening whilst I could.

The singles we've had so far seem to be pretty weak compared to the rest of the album tbh. There are some brief highlights in there but they're absolutely a far cry from their beginnings 10 years ago now. The album also could've done with it being more than just 99.9% Drew on vocals as his voice isn't exactly the most gripping to listen to for 45 minutes straight. The production is definitely the saviour and you can tell where Whethan has had his involvement in some of the tracks as he adds a touch of depth in places.

Maradona is great with its changes in production, especially towards the end as it builds, and chopped up Fatman Scoop vocal (yes you read that correctly).

Solo Mission has some funky wobbly production behind it and good beat kicks with some lovely strings at the end; probably my favourite of the bunch.

Channel 1 has a pretty good drop but that's all that's good about it.

Testing absolutely slaps in the instrumental parts though the Pure Imagination sample at the end is a little jarring.

I Hope You Change Your Mind is rather catchy, though I did think it was going to break out into a Cranberries cover in parts :kink:

I need to listen to it in full, but really seems like they just ignored the label and decided to make their own project. Totally agree the production is good in most cases from what I have heard. Just seems a bit mad they disappeared for 2 years and came back with this.

I really loved this album! My highlights were 'Riptide', 'I Love U', 'If You're Serious' and 'Testing'.

For what it's worth, Drew recently said that their next music will feature other vocalists.
