It has finally happened. I am full of nervous excitement...now to form a plan of attack for ticket buying

Hi Osiris.....good to see you here :hi:

My theory is that Rob will take a break from touring, but still write and produce music.

I don't want to even think about it Goth..I know he cannot keep maintaining these type of record breaking concerts, and I know it has to end somewhere and where better than on a high note.

BUT...I will miss him.. :(

First stop South Kirkby as Robbie prepares for world tour

Exclusive

By Jo Rostron

IT'S OFFICIAL. Pop legend Robbie Williams has been spotted in South Kirkby, warming up for his world tour.

The YEP revealed last week that the star was heading for the £2m studio on Langthwaite Grange Industrial Estate where the set for his tour is being built.

Today we can reveal that the singer was there this week.

His production team have been at the Litestructures Rehearsal Arena for the last four weeks.

Yesterday sound checks were being carried out at the spot where the band and backing singers could be heard rehearsing for the tour which kicks off in Dublin on June 9.

Adrian Brooks, owner of studios, told the YEP: "Robbie was here for about an hour on Tuesday. We are surprised he took time out to come down here because the set is going over to Brussels now for a full rehearsal which is where he will be next week."

The studios, which are tucked away on the sprawling industrial estate, are the biggest in the UK and provide a discreet spot for stars to put together stages and sets for tours.

 Scotty, you'll need to get permission to stay up late.

Croke Park concerts to finish later

19 May 2006 16:51

An Bord Pleanála has granted Croke Park permission to conclude two concerts at 11pm rather than 10pm at night.

This means the Bon Jovi concert tomorrow will be able to play until 11pm.

Dublin City Council had originally granted permission for the concert to continue until the later time, but this was appealed to the board by local residents.

The Robbie Williams concert, which is due to take place later this summer, will also continue until 11pm.

However, a third gig relating to Billy Joel was not granted permission on the basis that an application had not been submitted.

It says on the GMTV website that the Ordinary Boys have pulled out of the Support Act slot for the Robbie Tour. I've checked the Fan Forum on the Ordinary Boys website and it's saying the same thing.

Oh dear. What a blow I'm sure.

Wonder who we'll get now. -_-

How peculiar. I doubt they decided not to do it cause i doubt they would get another chance to play infront of the amount of people Rob will be playing to. -_-

Beautiful south might do the Europe leg as well as Dublin?

And apperently the Sugerbabes were rumoured to be supporting him also

It's quite funny. A few of the Ordinary Boys fans are complaining that they've just spent £150 for MK tix to see their heroes and now will be 'stuck with watching a singing/dancing bloke'. Not RW fans then!

They must be bonkers to have spent that amount on a support act (30 mins tops?)

Who are the Ordinary Boys??????? are they a UK group???

Well shiver my timbers, what a disappointment (not). I expect Preston is getting married instead. I remember at Knebworth there were lots of 'Darkness' fans saying pretty much the same as the Ordinary Boys fans, but the ones that did stay to watch the star turn had to admit that Robbie is something, of course Darkness performed, but if the Ordinary Boys are not, then they may not bother to go and find out why Robbie is top of the bill and they are at the bottom.

Seriously will they be replaced do you think. Beautiful South will do me and maybe more of Rob to fill the gap.

That might explain why the ticket sales ad in The Mirror the other only listed Basement Jaxx as support for MK. Shame though, cos I wouldn't have minded seeing them. But I can't understand Ordinary Boys fans buying MK tickets just to see them there.

I hope they replace them - just one support act seems a bit lame when we will be waiting around for hours

I was disucssing support slots with someone who's son is in a band recently. I am probably a little naive, but hadn't realised that they have to pay quite a lot for the priviege .

Anyway that is slightly off-topic, as I doubt that would be the reason for Ordinary Boys dropping out - but it does seem an odd decision as I imagine the chance to play at such large venues may not be that easy to come by.

I was happy enough to see Ordinary Boys as support (only know 2 of their songs - don't hate either of them) - but not bothered if they are not. I am sure that a replacment will be found quite easily :) Beautiful South would be fine by me :D

(Scarlett - yes they are a UK group, whose fame increased when one of them (Preston) was in Celebrity Big Brotehr this year - and formed a relationship with the non-celebrity winner (Paris Hiliton look-a-like Chantelle) )

Apparently the Ordinary Boys have decided not to do any sort of touring this year as they want to concentrate on their new album.

Would have thought they'd have known about the album when they signed up for the RW Tour. But hey ho...

I would of thought a chance to be support band at a Robbie concert would help promote their new album if anything.

I'm quite happy the ordianary boys won't be playing, think they are a load of rubbish and pardon the pun, just ordinary! Maybe its just my age but I'ld never even heard of them until big brother was shown last year.

Beautiful South or Sugarbabes would be good.

I disagree that Ordinary Boys are rubbish.

I perfer their music than Sugababes, just my opinion of course!

I wonder who will replace them as support act? Beautiful South would be good

I would'nt mind the Sugerbabes actually. Not a fan of pop music as such myself but they are a very good band IMO. :D
