I've bought the recent ones because I want all the DVDs ( more than for the songs if truth be told  ).

I really don't care all that much about the singles charts either but unfortunately the press in the UK still do. And I know Robbie is going to get an absolute pasting in the papers on Monday. And that makes me sad and angry

I usually ignore what the press (eg: source of c**p - as I'd like to call them!) say about Rob. They know nothing!

It's D-Day for SSS then ( D for Disaster obviously  ). Glad I'm going out tonight.

Yep! Robbie's worst-charting single in the history of his solo career = today!

Grrrrrrr!!!!! Go away.

:P I'm only speaking the truth  I'm annoyed also, maybe with the downloads revolution its getting harder for people to have frequent Top Ten hits with songs from the same album. Just look at Kelly Clarkson and Gorillaz recently.

I tend to agree actually.

The big sellers in the single's chart these days always seem to be the first single off an album ( ie released before the album is issued) or alternatively one-hit wonders that aren't actually on any album.

I guess it's just common sense that people aren't going to buy a CD single ( or download the track) if they already have the album with the same song on it.

Yes exactly.

People have always bought the album first though and the later singles do less well. Now that downloads are involved, its making it more like the US market - 4 Top Tens off an album is almost unheard of over there.

So maybe Robbie is just one of the first examples? ^_^ :(

Sin Sin Sin has entered the UK chart at #22 :(

Smallest hit since the early Take That days. He always used to be so consistent too.

I doubt he cares though - the album has been another huge hit.

It's a shame. The singles chart is so peculiar now.

I can't remember the last album to have several big hits on it. No artist last year had two 200,000+ selling hits.

Oh fab :cheer: That extra Woolies download of mine obviously boosted it from 24 to 22...

A stupendous total of 7410 sales apparently.

I'm sorry but that is really shocking. :o

I'm not even going to comment. I am so angry I'm going to bed.

Yes, it is shocking. And what's even worse, is that it didn't help to get IC back to top 75, it only went from 169 to 112. Now I know that Robbie probably couldn't care less, and this doesn't mean much anyways, but why release a single and not give it the best shot possible is beyond me. With so many things that went wrong, this should be a prime example of how not to release a single

But it made the top 20 of the airplay and TV charts. You can't really say the song didn't have all the advantages in the world.

I think it's best to file this under 'everyone has the album'.

On the plus side, I didn't see anything in the papers about it.

I think it's charted so low the press haven't even noticed.
