Akon (feat. Eminem) has the best-selling single in Ireland for a third week with ‘Smack That’, and Eminem also debuts further down at No28 with ‘You Don’t Know’ – the first single from his ‘Eminem Presents Re-Up’ album, featuring 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and new protégé Ca$his. Take That are again denied their fifth No1 single, sitting at No2 for a third week with ‘Patience’, ahead of Beyoncé’s ‘Irreplaceable’ at No3. There are four new entries in this week’s Top 20: Jake Stevens’ seasonal comedy ‘Merry Christmas Jakey Boy’ at No11, Lazytown’s kids-TV song ‘Bing Bang (Time To Dance)’ at No15, Chris Cornell’s Bond theme ‘You Know My Name’ at No19 and finally Declan O’Rourke & Nina Kinert’s festive tipple ‘Christmas Wine’ at No20. Westlife make it three weeks in a row at the top of the Album Chart with ‘The Love Album’, outselling their 2 nearest competitors’ combined sales for a third week. U2 climb back to No2 with ‘U218 Singles’, one place ahead of Il Divo’s ‘Siempre’, up from No4 to No3. ‘The Magic Of Boney M’ is this week’s highest new entry at No23, closely followed at No24 by the highest climber - Micky Modelle with the latest in his clubland series ‘Rock Anthems In Clubland’. Gwen Stefani completes the new trio at No30 with her second solo album ‘The Sweet Escape’, faring less well than her previous album ‘Love.Angel.Music.Baby’ which debuted at No20 two years ago. Note: There was a slight error in last week's thread. On the album chart Il Divo was listed as a re-entry at 55. It was actually at no 42.
