sound-wise what i've heard about "No" it's a mid-tempo bop, so not sure if the video would've been any better.

 

(i'm actually hoping that Love Sweet Love is upbeat otherwise we're at 3/5 being mid-tempo-ish since "Between Us" is the song heard in their video and it sounds mid-tempo)

 

"Outta Your Mouth" is one of the tracks but i dunno if i consider that 'Wasabi' sound upbeat lool which leaves like 1 track?

 

back on actual topic - that video concept would be kinda bad IMO, i'm just hoping they pre-emptively shot the videos for the singles - they were very quiet during the beginning of the year

Whatever the songs are I just hope they're half decent cause it'll be really awkward if the greatest hits has rubbish songs mixed in :D

Ahh I see, fair. I'd say they would have waited to release 'Holiday' until the summer anyway. Perhaps it was 'Sweet Melody' that was considered as the first single, I know they said 'Break Up Song' was a pretty last minute choice and it was originally supposed to be another single that lead the era.

 

From the live video M-NEK made after Sweet Melody went #1, the song was only finalised around August/September. A lot of the adlibs were recorded in the middle of the pandemic, if I remember correctly. I actually suspect they were considering Not a Pop Song or Happiness as their lead single. I know Jade once said Not a Pop Song was a contender. Thank goodness that did NOT happen!

Columbia Records re-tweeted the post about this song. Is this something they've always done for them? Or do they now want to push them in the USA?

I think this was agreed upon by both sides ya know cus they can bounce off each other in terms of hype and appeal. I’m wondering if this is both their team’s way of using the media to their advantage since Jesy’s was pushed back.
