Confetti wasn’t on Hot Hits and it’s second day drop wasn’t that tragic. The song isn’t good and I would bet this won’t re-enter the top 50, even if it does get added to Hot Hits on Monday.

 

I’m sure it will at least be a cute top 20/15 hit. This song is definitely a grower

It definitely is a bit of miss this one. I hope that doesn’t dampen the mood in the LM camp though because it’s hard to keep up the big hits.

Eeek it really isn't looking good for this one.

I really do think the ongoing success of Heartbreak Anthem and with Kiss My still charting any new releases are gonna be affected and aren’t going to chart highly straight away, the song itself is great so I don’t think that is the issue.

 

I really am keeping positive and believe this will a slow but steady smash…

It actually had a better second day on Youtube in the UK than the first day. Obviously the first day was missing hours but most of those hours would be when people were asleep on the second day anyway.

 

I think if they can get it on the right HHUK and Today’s Hits on Apple, it can be a nice hit for them but it definitely got lost in the shuffle on a busy release week.

at #30, they generally rise quite quick so hopefully we'll see it enter the top 50 soon enough, that drop from 60~ to 90~ was harsh though - i just don't want them to miss the top 20, feel like that would be v shitty for them even if they are sorta bombarding us with content

I think the problem with beginning of the year was that the covid rules in the UK at the time didn't really allow them shoot the video the way they wanted it. I'm not sure, but I think I remember that the day they shot confetti was the first day the rules were relaxed a bit - one of the last days in March.

aye probably, i forgot about beginning of the year rules - i'm definitely starting to understand the oversaturation thing.. i feel like they should've released the lead a bit later on and maybe just teased things up until its release to do with the album

 

things such as the remaining 4 songs (names, snippets maybe? details about them) just to fill in the gaps, or they could have also just announced it and dipped for a bit - no one would blame them for taking September off and coming back in October with the lead.

They have been very busy this year, the singles have come very quickly and plenty of them, they have had a great chart presence nearly all year.

Oversaturation is a thing and has definitely played a part but I also feel like if they had released this the week of the anniversary we wouldn’t be having this discussion because it wouldn’t have performed this poorly to start off without the the huge releases in the past two weeks. Without Drakes album, the song debuts in the Spotify top 50 and probably doesn’t fall as far the second day because of the Top 50 boost.
