‘Love Again’ isn’t an official single so they won’t playlist it.

But it was playlisted by Capital and its on Hot Hits UK albeit very low. It's definitely a single

Also there's surely 0% chance Radio 1 would be snubbing a Dua Lipa single so I'm fairly sure the continuing absence of 'Love Again' just means it isn't being sent to UK radio for some reason.

As far as I know Radio 1 pick and choose whatever song they playlist regardless of label endorsement

I don't believe there is an official radio add date roster in the UK, like there is one in the US? Capital playlisted Love Again and it is being played on other stations. Radio 1 decided themselves not to playlist Love Again

Tune of the Week w/c 06/09/21

Arielle Free: TSHA - Power

Greg James: The Wombats - If You Ever Leave, I'm Coming With You

Rickie, Melvin and Charlie: Riton & RAYE - I Don't Want You

Scott Mills: Little Mix - Love (Sweet Love)

Vick and Jordan: Tom Grennan - Don't Break The Heart

Nice to see The Wombats being Greg’s Record of the Week!

Yeah I did a double take at that one. More choices like this please

It was Hottest Record upon release, so will probably be playlisted at some point

Interesting given most indie bands of their generation wouldn't get a look in now.

They've been one of the lucky few to have won over a new young audience, the singles from their last album are some of their biggest tracks now (Turn, Lemon to a Knife Fight). And still command massive crowds at festivals!

Next year they're playing their biggest show to date at the O2 Arena.

Yeh the only others I can think of are Arctic Monkeys, Foals & Florence and the Machine!

I'd add Two Door Cinema Club, Kasabian, and to a lesser extent The Kooks as well.

(and Courteeners/Bombay Bicycle Club I suppose as well, though they were a little later anyway)

Two Door Cinema clubs first album came out a lot later than The Courteneers....

Pretty sure they are done with Kasabian, The Kooks and Courteeners! But understand your point is they supported their last era in some way.

Ah yeah those were just bands from the era that have managed to stay relevant rather than ones Radio 1 playlist, of course.

TDCC, Bombay BC, Kasabian, The Last Shadow Puppets and Mystery Jets are the only other ones who had their last eras playlisted off the top of my head.

Yeh Mystery Jets is a good shout, a weird one as they were big at first (moderately) and then lost favour but became big again in the last two recent eras which is interesting! The ‘Radlands’ era seemed to do nothing from memory, might be wrong though!

Camila Cabello - Don’t Got Yet [C-B-B-A-A-A-A]

I can't believe there's been a typo in Camila's song title for the last seven weeks and nobody's spotted it  what's happened to all you pedants?
