February 5, 20223 yr Hallabaloo going further, wow! I guess a song of that ilk can never be ruled out! The app is probably a big factor here. I'd assume it appeals to an older audience which still votes via the phone. Malou, Theo and Omar were probably massively hurt by the app being down at a guess.
February 5, 20223 yr Cornelia is my first legit obsession of this year's NF season and I am so fecked off it's going to be another three weeks until the studio version drops. Enjoy it before the video gets deleted ldGR8JlVY3w
February 5, 20223 yr Same. I Just ripped the MP3 from that, thanks. This would be a very good Eurovision entry for Sweden, not that I expect that to happen, a generic pop man will surely get in the way.
February 5, 20223 yr I quite liked a lot of the songs in the heat! The results were surprising but the app being down does account for that. Delighted for Cornelia, I wasn't sure how that would fare but it really surprised me in a nice way. Robin continues to be the definition of 7/10, it's fine but not exciting. Twinkpop was on form with Theoz and Omar (the latter not making it is very disappointing though the app explains it I guess). Malou's song was fine I suppose but she can do better than that, and the spelling of B-A-N-A-S was... a choice.
February 5, 20223 yr TORN (w/o watching). Malou was my favourite from the 1-minute clips although it was hardly a strong favourite, but Omar was the enemy. Sounds like Cornelia had a bit of a surprise though so pleased to see that one advancing. Melfest this year seems like an underwhelming mess on the whole though. :/
February 6, 20223 yr Author If the 3 to 9 year olds get in the way of a Cornelia victory when the app is presumably working again for the final..... It would be SUCH a great entry for Sweden, it's just not trying too hard and produced just to get a good result at Eurovision like a few of their entries have sounded like recently. Theoz was my other favourite of the night so glad he's progressed out of the twinks, sad for Omar but I don't expect to keep going back to his song tbh. Robin just needs to leave us alone, was so glad that he wasn't the winner of the night. I'd put it 3rd out of his four entries just ahead of the smug "I Can't Go On".
February 6, 20223 yr Hold Me Closer is stunning! And I see it wasn’t just me who immediately saw the close resemblance to Emma Willis.

Fairly sure she says B-A-N-A-NAS, but yes still not much better  Overall, the songs were fine. I actually didn’t mind Omar’s effort so it’s a shame he lost out, presumably due to the app vote, or lack thereof! Cornelia a shock win then! Would be interesting to know whether she’d have won with the app working or not. As much as I enjoyed it, not sure whether I fancy her going all the way but I guess time will tell on that one. Here for another Alvaro banger next weekend though
February 6, 20223 yr Fairly sure she says B-A-N-A-NAS, but yes still not much better  This is clearer on the studio version than it was live! it's a bop but either way it's bothersome lol
February 6, 20223 yr This is clearer on the studio version than it was live! it's a bop but either way it's bothersome lol I finally hear it now in the Studio version  It's a cute album track, but doesn't stand up as something that should have been sent to Melfest. I like Malou, her EP was chock full of bops.
February 7, 20223 yr Finally listened to all the Heat 1 songs. “Bananas” is kind of a mess but I guess that’s what gives it its charm? Omar’s was the best followed by Cornelia, the former gives me K-pop group reject (up to the point where you can slip a rap in the second verse and it doesn’t change the flow) but that’s never a bad thing, sad to see it out so low :(
February 10, 20223 yr https://www.svtplay.se/video/34165990/melod...crowd?info=visa Heat 2 snippets are out. Browsing Collection are easy stan choices for me, all-girl pop-punk band, fingers crossed for AC at least because that sounds like it GOES OFF from the clip. Liamoo is an obvious hit though and Tone Sekelius (who will probably have a great advantage by performing last) has a potentially fantastic song after that drop, those SEEM like the two finalists. And then there's John Lundvik and Alvaro Estrella in here too. Their songs do not sound so great.
February 10, 20223 yr Just listened to the clips. God.. LIAMOO and Alvaro's songs are both overproduced, but I expect them both to nail it on the day. John's attempt is nothing more than 'My Turn Part 2' Let's hope the app voting is down again so we get a Tone and Samira DTF. Honestly I think it's the boys going DTF this week.
February 10, 20223 yr Omg I am absolutely HOWLING at Suave being a cut and paste copy of Baila Baila… and yet it still slaps
February 11, 20223 yr Anybody else have zero excitement for this? Melodifestivalen used to be such an event. That's me in the past 3-4 years when it comes to MF :( Bring back ikonec entries like Snälla Snälla or something
February 12, 20223 yr So my pre-show call is that Liamoo gets the first round win (probably by a distance) and then Lundvik edges it due to the buff that older voters get on the age categories breakdown DTF: Liamoo, Lundvik SF: Alvaro, Tone 5th: Niello & Lisa Ajax 6th: Browsing Collection 7th: Samira Manners
