November 7, 20213 yr I'd like to hear Another Life, Without You and Repair live (from Spectrum). A shame they didn't get to tour that album. Of the classics I'm not really bothered about Home or Mandy. Keep World of Our Own, Flying Without Wings, You Raise Me Up etc of course. My Love, I preferred it when they did the acapella breakdown on the Where We Are and Greatest Hits tours. Would also be quite nice to hear them cover some Ed Sheeran songs - Perfect could easily be a Westlife song (for example).
November 9, 20213 yr I keep saying this but I think this but I think this is the reality now for the boys. Years ago they could have performed on a big show like Pride of Britain and that would have helped them to score no.1 but that is no the case now.
November 9, 20213 yr Video for starlight must be their worst ever :/ I agree. I mean, they have tons of videos with them just standing but this looks kind of cheap, I can't believe it took editors 2 weeks for this. Even Dynamite looked better and it also had lights + Croke Park moments.

Even then it's not a big show and they'd at least have promoted it properly in the past. Do the rounds on the radio and performing on This Morning or whatever, but the singles seem an afterthought now. I get the focus on the album and so on but it's still a shame.

They were on This Morning the other day and they also had Irish radio slots when Starlight was released and it still didn't help in Ireland. Its not their fault Radio 1 doesn't give a damn about them. There really isn't much they can do

Release on fridays, release physical singles, do some signings. Release albums in January too. Do some proper video clips and release a few remixes too.
November 9, 20213 yr They can do all that and I still think it wouldn't matter a lot, unless they duet with huge stars like Adele or BTS. I still think Starlight and My Hero are quality songs so I wouldn't put a blame on the songs.

They are fine, not swear it again world of our own my love or flying without wings, not even if i let u go though :P i have a feeling Wil Dreams would be the best track on the album. I hope they will have another single during the release week although i just dont see it happening :P

Why comparing it to their old stuff? We live in a totally different world now, we are not in the 2000s anymore. Why keep on saying this is their reality now in the singles charts, I can still see them doing well in the chart if they and the record companies want to, so many other strategies left and they still have a decade to do that and they are not in a rush. it is just they want to explore things now
November 10, 20213 yr I agree we shouldn't compare the music now to what it was. Thats like saying, if Tina Turner released a song today, you go "its good but its no Private Dancer or Simply The Best". :D I think both of these new songs are great songs, its because many other reasons the boys aren't lighting up the charts. Also, who knows what the label even tried but maybe they just couldn't achieve what thy wanted. Its not like Hello My Love had a bigger promo, its just that Westlfe came back after 7 years with a bop so even non-WL fans were casually interested. OR, yes, they simply think its not worth bleeding money on it if it won't chart well anyway, I can see some logic behind it to be honest, especially during the pandemic.

In the past they walked along a beach, in a warehouse or in a studio with a wind machine. The video is nice, it has nice effects. None of their videos were ever WOW moments.
