I find it ridiculous Nicky and Kian can't sing the new songs considering they are not hard at all. I don't know what it is, is it just the lack of confidence or what but they shouldn't have verses in songsif they can't sing them live.

In live performances of Hello My Love, apart from the All Round to Mrs Brown's ones and any acoustic ones, Kian has mimed all of them. Fairly sure they all mimed the tour one but Nicky only mimed the first few (Graham Norton and National Television Awards).

I suppose it's just something I pick up on cos I don't doubt they can sing but if they can do these songs in the studio, I don't see why they can't have a crack at it live.

In fact, I don't think Kian has sung live in a major performance (on TV) in a long long time if ever. Even that live (not TV) Westlife medley he did in 2014 was all mimed. Most people won't pick up on it but my autistic brain seems to be able to notice. Especially as in some cases on the tours, Mark has also missed his cue.

Pressumably its impossible to sing live for 2-3 hours everyday for 6 months but i am pretty sure many artists are doing this. However The fact that Kian never sings is getting annoying. I wouldnt have any problem if they went back to giving the solos of their singles to only mark and shane as they are easily on different level by far… nicky is ok and that I credit to him

Apparently they mean album only sales:

Bublé is the ninth biggest-selling artist of the 21st century in the UK with cumulative consumption of 12,150,504 units, including 10,452,370 physical sales and 1,049,456 digital downloads, in which metrics he ranks sixth and fifth, respectively. The artists with higher overall consumption than Bublé: 1 Robbie Williams (16,674,978), 2 Coldplay (14,734,824), 3 Elvis Presley (13,502,834), 4 Eminem (13,276,742), 5 Westlife (12,907,183), 6 Take That (12,613,279), 7 The Beatles (12,585,043) and 8 Adele (12,402,363). Ed Sheeran, who ranks 10th behind Bublé (11,989,075) is No.1 on digital downloads (2,208,972) and sales-equivalent streams (3,577,046).

Total albums End of Nov 21: 13,582,655

Total albums previous century (according to Jay): 770,416

Total albums today ~ : 13,677,600

Wild Dreams sales: 85,000

Rest of albums last 4 months ~: 10.000 i would expect the number to be a lot higher if my data and calculations are correct. Unless the album total shared when WD charted included its first week sales which were 38k, but i dont know if we will ever find out :P

No 2nd video and just making money on tours, shame they have resorted to this. Have just seen they are doing the Brighton Centrw which is rather embarrassing. I could sell that out.
Their reformation hasn't fully taken off, they have recorded some good material but struggle to handle their campaign's properly.

Fairplay to them/their recording company why would/ how can they record a video for singles which sell 20-30k copies? In their last company they agreed on 4 music videos and then got dropped. Its the public who only pay for theor concertss instead of their music…

Unfortunately I don't think music videos are something that many artists are even banking on much nowadays anyway.

I don't see the harm in doing a smaller venue every now and again.

Yes they also have webmley this year so i dont see a problem there
Why is it embarassing to play smaller venues when they are playing at Wembley and Aviva? I am amazed at your constant negativity Sean.

Enjoy it Sean. Buy their new material and enjoy their tours and old music, they are still selling good and they are 24 years old ;)

Ticket sales for the live and encore of Wembley date on cinemas opens today. Available in UK and Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Spain, Austria, Belgium, and Netherlands so far

We have to wait and I think they are also waiting for their time again. I have said my piece and my thoughts here in my previous posts etc etc. Won't repeat it. They can't be always at the top this early on because of their vulnerable age and the culture today that can easily cancel someone etc. They still have the chance imo, 28 million live viewers in China. Their media views listens followers subscribers keeps on increasing.

Maybe the 2023 thing is somehow true because one 2003 was the last time they did something in the USA, 2013 was the last time a Westlife member did something in the USA. Second, their tour schedule changed for the first time since 2000 before their superstardom in the late 2000. So there is an apparent pattern

They have a break in September to October wonder what they will maybe more tour dates but I wish a new single and a repackage of Wild Dreams. 2023 omg is their 25th anniversary too. Wonder if a greatest hits album is coming or I hope for a new studio album as well. I want them to meet more people and record and write more and more songs and release it even if it take a yearly release. They have fans to buy for them worldwide and in UK despite the low budget, Wild Dreams is a testament.

I have been jamming Westlife non stop again for the last few days. Really liked the first three tracks of Wild Dreams (all of it should be on the concert setlist, mashup of Alone Together and Hey Whatever pls haha) and all of their old songs and ballads.

I hope they will push to promote more of their songs written by them in their future tours like Bop Bop Baby and I Wanna Grow Old With You and perform it live

Amazing to hear they sold roughly 2.2 million albums in the UK after December 2009 (10.74m) even if they disbanded. Roughly a million of 2.2 was from Gravity and Greatest Hits and one million from their other albums over the years amazing

The boys performed on a Chinese live-stream thing. They sang a few songs on their own and a few with Backstreet Boys.

I've been listening to the performances so much that I know it's the same Starlight 'playback' track they used for the Strictly, Jonathan Ross and Late Late Show performances.

Swear it Again:

Starlight:

You Raise Me Up:

My Love & I Want It That Way:

This is deffinitely not the case. I refer you to the 2 spots of: 1:47 and 2:30, between those 2 videos of starlight. the difference is clear.

However Nicky's and Kian's solos might be.

Oh I should have clarified.

I believe Nicky & Kian's solos and Mark's high ad libs in the final chorus are playback, but the rest isn't (well, bar the chorus obviously).

I.e, Shane is singing completely live and Mark's pre-choruses are live too.

They could add 3 new songs and that would be fine but....

This is just embarassing, they had 2 albums and they just sing 2 songs from them. They should have just ditched the Wild Dreams title and have All The Hits because this really isn't a Wild Dreams tour.

I saw Michael Buble live in 2015 and 2019. Both were completely different concerts, he repeated only 4 songs. That is how you do it.
