December 1, 20213 yr Picking a top 5 is a tough one! I’d have to go: 1. Amazing 2. Hello My Love 3. If I Let You Go 4. When You’re Looking Like That 5. What About Now
December 1, 20213 yr 1. World of Our Own 2. Hello My Love 3. Starlight The only other one I can occasionally put up with on a good day is 'If I Let You Go', everything else is total garbage.
December 1, 20213 yr 1 Adele - 30 (61.1k) 2 Westlife - Wild Dreams (33.0k) * 3 Ed Sheeran - = (21.2k) 4 ABBA - Voyage (15.6k) 5 Gary Barlow - The Dream of Christmas (15.4k) * Unpopular thought, i think selling 2.4k on Monday is a decent amount for us. Could help our fight for #2 entry. We need to keep pushing more though :) Monday Sum up: Adele 14.9k Westlife 2.4k Ed Sheeran 5.1k ABBA 4.1k Gary 1.4k Ed Sheeran stable at 5.1k, for 3 more days that would be 15.3k + ~3k missing streams = 39.000 For Westlife i can see it stabilizing somewhere between 1.5k-2k for the rest of the 3 days = 5k = 38000. Come onnn!! 1 Adele - 30 (75,199) [58,096 physical, 12,379 streaming, 4,724 downloads] 2 Westlife - Wild Dreams (35,005) [more than 31,000 physical] * 3 Ed Sheeran - = (26,348) 4 ABBA - Voyage (19,829) Tuesday Sum up: Adele 14.1k Westlife 2k Ed Sheeran 5.1k ABBA 4.2k Ed Sheeran still stable at 5.1k, for 2 more days that would be 10.3k + missing streams 2-3k (if any) = ~39.000 For Westlife it looks stable somewhere between 1.5k-2k for the rest of the 2 days = 4k = 39000. Fight is on, i think Westlife are a bit of favourites for keeping the #2 Edited December 1, 20213 yr by Charis
December 1, 20213 yr if there are no much missing streams then Ed Sheeran could close 37-38k a number Westlife will beat I think by Friday.
December 1, 20213 yr the interesting thing is that if they released the album last week it would already have #2 in the bag :P
December 2, 20213 yr But i cant manage ti see this, do i need a premium user cause i dont have one and anyway it doesnt work for Me
December 2, 20213 yr Review-Part One Starlight- 8/10 Loved this on first lesson although I use the other songs a lot more, maybe due to them being newere to be fair. Kian and Nicky do not sound the strongest on this however I like the melodies. Mark sounds great as usual and brings power to the song. The anthemic chorus is going to make this song popular at gigs. Not my main choice for a single but it serves it's purpose. Favourite part is when the second chorus carries on longer with the chant of 'DANCING at the speed of light'. Poor video however the song does not disappoint. Alone together- 8.5/10 Another anthemic uptempo song started by Shane with a great start to the verse followed by one of Kian's strong points, a nice pre-chorus! The chorus is strong and does what it needs to do! This song is lyrically not the strongest however is not meant to be, it's a fun song with an addictive chorus. Nicky has another small part and Mark sounds mellow on this track although the bridge from him is a strong point of the song. Really good song and perhaps would have been a good first single to show where their music is now heading. Wild Dreams- 9.5/10 Now we are talking! Shane once again starts the song and Nicky and Kian both have parts where they are both excellent, they sound in their comfort zone! This mid-tempo song has a catchy chorus and jumps between band members, the choruses end with a strange psychedelic beat which is like nothing they have done before! Mark sounds perfect on the chorus and this with a great video and pushed as a single would be a surprise to all! The sudden end to the song is brilliant and the song can be described as a rollercoaster of a song. Lifeline- 10/10 Stunning! Just stunning! Shane excels on here, his vocals are made for this type of song. The haunting sound with the beautiful piano sound makes this a highlight of not only the album, but their entire career! No part is stronger than the rest of the song, it just flows and although Shane excels, Mark in traditional westlife ballad style comes in to deliver an incredible second chorus. He restrains his voice and just sounds perfect. You here shades of Nicky and Kian on the middle 8 but this is a song they are best left out of in the nicest possible way. The song gets better with each listen and is a perfect ballad ending with Shane singing 'always' in a delicate tone. Perfection and the song of the year for me.
December 2, 20213 yr I would think they may have a chance of overtaking Adele for Number 1 in Ireland.
December 2, 20213 yr Review- Part 2 Alive- 9.5/10 Shane with another masterclass, vocals on points here! Lyrically sounds very personal and seems like it's about the pandemic and things becoming brighter (alive). This is far from a generic upbeat dance track which I feared it would be at first. Nicky sounds strong on the pre-second chorus the EDM beat sounds great and suits them. Mark decides to let loose a bit and shows of his powerhouse vocals especially toward the end. Rewind- 7/10 Not a bad song but feels like a filler compared to most of the album. A nice mid-tempo track with a slightly weak chorus. Would have fitted on some of their mid-career albums. Nicky and Kian do not sound as strong on this however not too bad. Not keen on the strange end to the chorus and the beat is...just there. Surprised the track was included but it's not too bad. The bar has been raised on this album hence the slight negativity. Do you ever think of me 10/10 2nd best on the album, absolutely stunning. From the atmospheric sound at the start you just know it's going to be a great song. Shane start again and rightly so with Mark soon coming in with his strong pre-chorus. The chorus is strong with a brilliant melody which does not leave your head. Kian has a nice small part and it all flows. The 'it just don't make sense' part is full of sincerity. The drum in the background at times is so effective and the production is on point. The beat at the end completes a magical song. Sounds stronger than anything on Marks solo outing however it sounds like a song he would love!
December 2, 20213 yr I am so obsessed with ‘ do you ever think of me ‘ i mean its been a long time since i lastly enjoyed an album track that much.
December 2, 20213 yr I'm pleasantly surprised to see them at no. 2. I don't know why but it's a pretty good showing.

Hello My Love and When your looking like that are 2 of them. i am wondering which are the next 3 [i WANNA GROW OLD WITH YOU, IF I LET YOU GO,SWEAR IT AGAIN,WHAT ABOUT NOW, BETTER MAN, I'LL SEE YOU AGAIN ?] World of our own should be platinum early next year. Regarding Better Man I am not sure if it's still being streamed enough in order to reach getting silver soon, but if it passed When you tell me that you love me, it should be close, as WYTMTYLM sold 120k copies during the year of release and i think it has around 5-6 million streams. So the 55 million record should be definitely outdated already. UK total for singles and albums is now 26.4m + ~1.5 DVD's = 28m records in the UK only. Lastly, in January 2019 I WANNA GROW OLD WITH YOU and I'LL SEE YOU AGAIN were higher than Seasons in the sun [100k] in their most streamed songs.
December 4, 20213 yr Really think Westlife should release a Xmas songs for the fans, shame they have never done an original one. Still laugh how seasons in the sum was released at Christmas, the least festive song ever 😂 Amazing to think this got to 2 on good sale considering there was not the comeback hype or big single.
