Posted September 13, 20213 yr 12th September 2021 It's two weeks on top for the life-affirming, love-lasting I Still Have Faith In You, Abba equalling weeks on top for SOS, Gimme Gimme, Gimme, I Have A Dream, Head Over Heels, and Under Attack for their official UK singles. That leaves Don't Shut Me Down at 2, out-peaking only Ring Ring, People Need Love, So Long and I Do I Do I Do amongst official UK singles. Elton & Dua reach a new peak of 7 and Maisie Peters gets a first top 10 with Psycho. The Stranglers get a first top 20 since 2004, and extends their top 20 chart-span to 44 years since Peaches/Go Buddy Go first did it. LP grabs a 3rd top 20, plus one chart-topper with Morrissey, and there's a couple of Abba album tracks that have never charted for me, courtesy of Album Chart appearances for Voulez Vous and Arrival following the back catalogue boost last week: Dum Dum Diddle has a silly title but mentions Fiddle, one of my school nicknames (surname related not anything else!) and has a brilliant melody and arrangement, from the days I played Arrival to death, while As Good As New was lined up to be a single at one stage, but they were spoilt for choice on Voulez Vous and chose 4 others instead. Dermot Kennedy gets a second chart entry with a goodie, James Blunt sneaks in yet another on his long chart list, Stereophonics return for a 24-year chart span, and surprisingly their first since 2013, Ella Henderson adds to her list, and Glass Animals debut. Amongst the oldies are a couple for Girls Aloud following the sad passing of Sarah Harding, another Rolling Stones goodie for Charlie Watts RIP, and The Adventures Broken Land returning as it started selling on itunes top 200 before they chopped it down to 100. ("Psycho" is right now one of my favourite songs this year) I like the big gains for "Drive" and "Do The Television" too, both amazing songs, especially the latter song! The return for Super-Hi was a surprise and the debuts for Glass Animals, Dermot Kennedy and James Blunt are welcoming! Great chart!

I really think I'm starting to prefer I Still Have Faith In You to the other track though the latter was my immediate favourite :heart: Cold Heart upto #7 :wub: it's looking certain to be in my top 10 this week as well :wub: totally deserved to be the smash hit that it's becoming. You is descending inevitably now. Quite fast as well. It's still on my playlist yet continuing to fall in favour of other songs now. Take My Breath continuing to do well. That's one that should enter the top 10 this week BUT I just removed it from my chart playlist this morning so it will start falling soon. Don't Go Yet climbing slowly. I do wonder if this will become another 'You' here. It's such a fun pop song. My Heart Goes (La Di Da) has grown on me so much over the last couple of weeks. Looks like it will be another hit for her here and on my own chart. I'm relieved to see I'm not the only other person on Buzzjack who just doesn't get OUT OUT. The original song was dire imo and this is so much worse than that Super chart! :jump:

Hi Sergej! :) Psycho is a great pop record, deserved to be a big hit, and Do The Television is a slow grower on me, the title "hook" isn't memorable, but the rest of the song is the highlight, pity he didn't find another title :D Super-Hi is getting airplay on Radio 2, that's the main reason it's back again, I tend not to replay recent tracks once they've dropped out my charts :cheer: Cheers! Super-Hi desevres to be a hit but it only got onto the C list at radio 2, and that was still enough to boost sales into the itunes 100, so it would only take one big profile media slot to push it into the big time. Broken Land is fab, The Adventures were great and under-rated. cheers! B-)

I love the melody but the music video is a bit of a novelty with those crazy loud sound effect oops :kink: Hi Uhsting! :) Glad you cheering for Aqua, I never expected to be charting Aqua covering I Am What I Am in 2021! :lol: James Blunt is a goodie and his Twitter replies to people slagging him off are always funny :dance: Not seen the music video, must check it out...! B-)
