Just looking at some archives and I found that Touch was actually #2 on UK Spotify from 2nd to 5th January 2017! I can't see earlier dates so I wonder if SOTME did make it to #1? In any case, how amazing it must have been for them to be that high on Spotify!

I don’t think people are getting it that Little Mix want a break.

This album was released to celebrate the last 10 years but also carry them through a break.

They did all the work before, planned things before pregnancies / whilst being pregnant and the album did its job and sold well with very little promo.

The girls will now only do a few things to promote the album in Q4 and then just focus on the tour.

To me they don’t want any other commitments for the time being, they just want to focus on solo stuff. It’s obvious especially with Perrie that she wants to put her sole focus on Disora and come back to LM as and when.

Her brand will mostly run itself whereas Little Mix is full time (life planned out 1/2 years in advance job)

The team should have done more in release week but it still sold well so I’m sure they’re not too bothered.

Yeah like maternity leave or not, frustrating to see Perrie posting mostly about her holiday and Disora this week. Feel theyve become quite complacent.

Agreed. Wanting a break or not, if you’re wanting to put material out that you’re wanting fans to buy, make an effort for 7 days and promote it like it should be. Very poor from them, especially seeing holiday posts and Disora posts too. I can completely understand why fans are annoyed with this.

I think the point people are making (at leastI am), is that the era would have been more of a celebration, more worthwhile and all round better had they waited. You might not think the girls care about singles flopping* etc but surely that affects the potential for radio and streaming to get on board with any other singles?

If they didn’t want other commitments then they should’ve just held off releasing new material until they wanted to. It’s understandable that they wanted a break after so long though.

* I know there’s a chance that No will recover in the New Year I just mean if 35 is it’s peak, like LSL.

The chance of recovery is very slim, not when it's that low. If they were a new artist, that's different. Sweet Melody and other singles that recovered last year had a decent debut, and they didn't have Adele and Ed Sheeran releasing around same time. I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong.

It’s not up to the girls though they probably had it in the contract.

I’m sure the three girls don’t get to choose when to release.

The label will still have massive influence over everything, take Confetti Jade said in an interview that the label wanted a track and said if it wasn’t the lead they weren’t allowed it on the album (and it’s not).

I bet a greatest hits was always in the contract tbh as it will provide consistent sales. The team although haven’t got a clue most of the time it’s clear this album was meant to give them trickle sales by putting all the biggest hits on one playlist essentially.

Them wanting a break is irrelevant. Until they go on one they're working .

Do you think they'll bounce back from the fact that if NO Doesn't end up doing better their two non collabs since Jesy left would be huge flops. Added on to the drama around her release and the illusion of unity they've portrayed for a decade being absolutely shatter...I think people have just had their fill.

They're doing zero damage control and zero to keep public interest. If they wanted a break that bad they should have just done it and not bothered. It's very Sugababes.

A lot of ‘probably’ and ‘i bet’ etc which just shows that everything is really based on speculation, and more about justifying why they have done the bare minimum, and that’s fine but the quality of the entire era has suffered, from the videos to the promo opportunities etc and now the chart positions.

This isn’t about them being pregnant btw I think the work they have put in during pregnancy is admirable, but like I said originally I feel like the era should have been postponed. You say you think that’s solely down to their label and if that’s the case then it doesn’t really change anything because the point still stands.

SOTME did make #1 on Spotify, I believe it was for about 9 days. Woman Like Me also made #1 on Spotify for 4 days in November 2018.

No is holding up well on Apple now that the new version of the album has pushed away the album version. It's #100 with half of Adele's discography, and the new 23 track D Block album all ahead.

Very funny

That's the Little Mix magic I love to see lol

Out of the Spotify 200

Disaster tbh.

I can’t see this recovering and it’s a shame because it’s a bop.

A lot of Christmas songs and it's still verrrry low on HHUK. I still think it'll be fine after Christmas.
When they get moved up on hot hits yes... it happens with all their singles that start off slow?

"All"... Except 'Love (Sweet Love)'. :P
