This one just sounds like a leftover from their early years that they’ve found and thought oh that’ll do, release that.

I am a little disappointed they didn’t do Story Of A Heart on the album, but I understand why. More just wishful thinking.
Why have they stolen Remember You're A Womble?

Topical reference! Mike Batt was a serial musical borrower and recycler of all genres, which fits in with the Wombles early philosophy of life. Ahead of their time!

Mike Batt was able to use The Wombles to showcase his writing talent. It would have been difficult for a "serious" act to borrow from as many sources as he did with Wimbledon's furry creatures. Clean Bandit may have followed him in borrowing from Mozart but they never did anything as delightfully silly as Hall Of The Mountain Womble. Get that orchestra off my mountain.

I quite agree, and stand by Minnuetto Allegretto anyday, calypso Banana Rock, 40's-styled Wombling White Tie & Tails & the Xmas song that never gets as much play these days - Wombling Merry Christmas is still fun  Must dig out that hits CD I have somewhere...Superwomble to the rescue! :D

I have a copy of the "Remember You're A Womble" album on vinyl I inherited from my parents' collection. I have to say there's more musicality to it then you get in most kid's music these days from what I recall of it!

Just given this a listen. It's very much an ABBA song that could have fitted into one of their peak era albums. Maybe by their standards it is not as impactful as the two previous singles but broadly speaking, it is miles ahead of anything anyone else is doing for sure.

EDIT: OK. 2 hours later and over 20 plays later who am I actually kidding? It's a thing of beauty
