I think we're definitely overdue a thread on UNIIQU3.

New EP Heartbeats is out now and the fantastic lead single from it “Microdosing” was recently playlisted by 6Music.

Following the release of her first single for Local Action, 'Microdosing', Jersey’s club queen UNIIQU3 announces her new EP 'Heartbeats'.

'Heartbeats' represents both a new creative phase for UNIIQU3, and her most ambitious and personal project yet — dealing with themes of “self-love, heartbreak, intimacy and lust” across six narrative-driven tracks that showcase her production, singing and rapping at its most accomplished. Although it's not the longest release of her career, in terms of its scope, detail, depth and honesty it feels like a true landmark moment for her.

'Heartbeats'’ lead single, 'Microdosing' was released last month to incredible acclaim. Racking up over 500,000 streams in a matter of weeks, Microdosing is currently sitting on the BBC 6 Music, Rinse FM and Reprezent Radio playlists, with press from The Guardian, Pitchfork, Billboard Dance, Clash and DJ Mag, who made UNIIQU3 the cover star of their September issue.

UNIIQU3 on 'Heartbeats': “My fans know so much about my story in the club culture, but 'Heartbeats' will let my fans get to know me personally. The project dives into topics of self-love, heartbreak, intimacy, and lust — it’s truly a compilation of beats made from the heart. It’s raw and experiential; I’m evolving into a new phase.”

There is an official video for “Microdosing”.

There's a great video here about the Jersey Club music scene, partly highlighting how women are finally being given the opportunity to break through in the heavily male dominated industry of music production. Great to see things turning around at the moment.
