November 12, 20213 yr 'Comet' and 'RGB' are cool in English lyrics. Many others... um, I'd rather hear the Japanese. Her English is mostly clear, I can appreciate.
November 12, 20213 yr I've only heard 'Blue' so far as 群青 is my favourite of theirs and honestly, I don't know, I far prefer them in Japanese. 'The Book' is one of my favourite albums of the year so I guess I'll give this a look but the originals are almost certainly going to be far preferable.
November 12, 20213 yr That said, if this gives YOASOBI a more international push I'd welcome it, they're still absolutely stratospheric in Japan and it shows no sign of letting up so the potential is certainly there for them to hit it big outside.
November 12, 20213 yr Author Into The Night and RGB have been growing well on me until now (OGs are still the best though), pretty interested in repeating Tracing A Dream as well. The remaining tracks, I'm sticking to the Japanese.
April 15, 20232 yr Author New song titled Idol, soundtrack for an anime called Oshi no Ko, was out Wednesday. Sounds different from their last 2 albums and I like it! ZRtdQ81jPUQ
May 26, 20232 yr English version of 'Idol'. I prefer the Japanese version, but not surprised at this one. They sure have blown up the 'synthesised voice' (virtual singer) kind of music to the wider audience. Edited May 26, 20232 yr by All★bySmashMouth
May 30, 20232 yr 'Idol' is a such a tune, I think it might be challenging 'Gunjou' to be their best yet. Come back to it so much and that's not even because of it soundtracking the anime (which I've fallen behind on).
