Devon, November 1967. A little girl has gone missing. Professor Eustacius Jericho is conducting psychic experiments. And in the village graveyard, there is one gravestone too many. Why is Medderton known as “The Cursed Village”? And what do the Weeping Angels want?

That was peak Weeping Angel action, it did not disappoint *.

and that cliffhanger :cheeseblock: best one yet! I was not expecting it to link in with the Division, seems we might hopefully get more answers next week if she’s being ‘called up’ and also it’ll mean even more Angel action :cheeseblock:

and

Kate Stewart

rising out of the ashes next week :cheeseblock:

Better than the first 3 episodes put together. Tense, scary (to kids) and a proper plot and good dialogue. Guest co-writer.....

Good to see the crossover with the Inbetweeners cast, though it would have worked better with just one single plotline. I'm guessing this strange other-worldly place means Dan & Yas won't do a Rory & Amy, and it's getting even more like the end of the Troughton run, with warring Earth sectors and a reckoning for The Doctor on the way....

I wonder if they'll have to rename her as the 3,457th Doctor. Or Doctor 948372654129876524134133.

It was an okay episode. I haven’t found the angels to be anywhere near as good since Blink.

And, in my turn to moan about rules of the universe etc, how come they seem to be able to look at each other pretty freely normally but then at some key points they can’t when it suits the plot? When they were first introduced they always covered their faces when other angels were around to ensure they didn’t look at each other.

Also I randomly wondered if they would have to freeze if a cow saw them. Or a bird?

well, yes - I would have thought the ultimate defence would be a mirror - "an image of an angel BECOMES an angel" sketch/TV screen etc? Just walk around within a square of 4 mirrors, they can't touch you and would have to open their eyes to try and get close. temporary solution obv unless you have a series of mirror-people till someone can get a permanent mirror in place. Locking doors is obv a waste of time.....

And yes about animals, unless they have some plot mcguffin that only sentient intelligent beings have that special sort of energy. To be confirmed one day.....

A question about the plot hole in blink, though, when the angels are in a circle... Their line of vision gets broken by the two of them standing INSIDE the bloody circle. They are also in a basement with one lightbulb, which thr nagels had already tried to turn off before. Once that sole bulb pops or the electricity to the house gets cut off...

Wowowow, that's more like it. Best episode yet easily and I would say probably one of the best if not the best of the Chibnall era (not that there's a lot of competition but y'know x). Was properly threatening for once and the haunting image of Clare and indeed the Doctor becoming an Angel was seriously scary stuff. Maxine Alderton seriously needs to stay, she also gave us Villa Diodati!

I do remember seeing a theory that the Angels were related to former/rogue time lords so it makes sense then being with Division and I really like that we've finally got some back story on them and they're still as terrifying as ever. I mean yeah there was a lot of plot conveniences in how they work, but I think that's always been the case (I'll never forget the STATUE OF LIBERTY somehow being an Angel at one point :'))

It's certainly made things a lot more interesting for next week, I'm expecting more completely erratic stuff as per but I'm certainly here until the end x
