Random thread here and my first one in a while… but I’ve been watching Queen At the BBC tonight and I can totally imagine Freddie Mercury loving Gaga had he still been alive when she broke into the industry.

 

I totally think he would’ve just gotten her (in some ways they’re really similar) but after having this thought i felt I should make this thread and see if anyone shares this opinion or has other legends who have passed away in mind as people you can imagine being a fan of Gaga.

MJ did love her I believe, for the brief time they were in the biz together. She was supposed to feature on the This Is It concert series IIRC.

Freddie would've been a big fan I think. Gaga has been borne out of his legacy and showmanship. Her stage name says it all! Agreed about MJ too.

 

I'd love to say Bowie too would've appreciated her artistry and ability to transform!

I have a feeling Amy Winehouse and Gaga may have collaborated at some point (obviously on something more in line with the work they both did with Tony). I’d like to think that if they’d met they would’ve gotten along as attributes to their personalities can be seen as similar.

 

I can also imagine John Lennon being a fan of Gaga’s too.

Yep there's Mark Ronson too! I imagine she could've featured on something like the Joanne album? Maybe 'Hey Girl' instead of Florence?

The other members of the vocal trinity Mariah and Celine are definite fans (I remember seeing multiple videos of Celine at one of Gagas shows I think it may have been Enigma but she was loving life in that crowd).

 

I wonder if Whitney also thought highly of her. Female wise she seems like the type of singer Whitney would appreciate as she was a fan of vocalists and Gagas undoubtedly amongst the strongest females of this generation in that aspect (and Gaga cited Whitney as an inspiration which you can clearly hear on Fashion of his love.

I would think so... She didn't really talk about her in her later years.
