Posted November 28, 20213 yr As the forces of evil mass, the Doctor, Yaz and Dan face perilous journeys and seemingly insurmountable obstacles in their quest for survival. f*** knows where this is heading next, especially after last week’s cliffhanger. There’s still about a thousand elements up in the air with more being introduced this week (UNIT *.*, the Ood) so let’s continue the craziest and most manic ride the show has ever been on…
November 28, 20213 yr Author shook :cheeseblock: I was not expecting those Division revelations and so hyped as to what will be explained next week, not sure I’m prepared. LOVED the explanation for the Flux, really cool concept. I started to feel it undermined Swarm and Azure as I’d thought they’d caused it but glad they seem to be taking centre stage again after a quieter couple of weeks. The whole episode just looked stunning. So impressed with how they pulled off Yaz & Dan’s world trip all from Cardiff!! Yes it’s manic, yes it’s Doctor Who on a quadruple espresso shot, yes it will put of causal viewers but I don’t care! The show’s future is in safe hands and it’s so thrilling as a fan for the show to tell the biggest story it has ever told and go places the show has never been in it’s 58 year history. It’s so nice to have something so different and showcase what can be possible with the show. I may still have my doubts about the Timeless Child storyline but I cannot deny how amazing it is for the show to have actual secrets and proper reveals rather than the usual omg its actually the Daleks or omg it’s the Master. It’s helping tell stories that I never thought were possible. also lol at the random Class plug - the most promo the BBC have ever given the show
November 28, 20213 yr Brilliant episode again this week, and i loved the cameo from a certain original series character whose voice could be heard on the phone.
November 28, 20213 yr Oops I said I'd comment more on last week's ep but never did, it was possibly Jodie's best episode to date though. Still floored by how amazing it was. This episode was great too - I'm really loving this series and the serialised approach is working wonders, it's clearly a strength of Chibnall's. It was great to learn more about Division at last, shocked they offed Tecteun so soon! Yaz impressed me a lot this episode, Mandip's getting so much more to work with and it's paying off. Dan has had barely any time with the Doctor so far but I'm still very much liking him  KATE STEWART!! I was so worried they'd brought her back just for the Grand Serpent to kill her off and I was ready to riot, but I can't wait to see her leading the revolt. So much to wrap up in the next episode but I am READY, I hope it doesn't miss the landing!
November 29, 20213 yr Author all i keep thinking is that if Graham was still there, he’d have made them wait in the village for the Doctor to come and pick them up
November 29, 20213 yr Decent episode, but it did seem to be a bit of a step backwards to just a load of things happening with no real soul to it and rushing to an exposition-filled conclusion. Obviously it's setting things up for next week so it's difficult to judge on it's own until we see next week. I did like the companions actually being proactive (and Jericho's with them! *.*) and the sets looked great (though what was that big painted message at the Great Wall about though? They seemed to literally abandon it right afterwards when they realised about the tunnels, did I miss something?) Was great to finally get some answers about the flux and the Grand Serpent (wonderfully cast by Dot) infiltrating UNIT was fun. The Doctor gave a great performance, it was nice to see her with no answers for once, again though the whole thing was so rushed at the end, I could barely process that Division caused the Flux and broke time lord rules before Tecteun was offed!
