SEPTEMBER - Gaga releases a remix album of her 6th studio album, Chromatica

In September, Lady Gaga released Dawn of Chromatica, a reimagining of her 2020 album by young and upcoming artists, including LSDXOXO, COUCOU CHLOE, Arca, Rina Sawayama, Clarence Clarity, Pabllo Vittar, Charli XCX, A. G. Cook, Ashnikko, Shygirl, Mura Masa, Doss, Dorian Electra, Chester Lockhart, Mood Killer, Lil Texas, Planningtorock, Bree Runway, and Jimmy Edgar.

“I invite you to dance to this album in celebration of young artists all over the world,” Gaga said. “Artists who see the world, feel the world, and put that feeling into something bigger than all of us: music.”

Dawn of Chromatica topped dance charts and broke the record for the biggest debut for a remix album in the streaming era.

I am a massive, massive, massive fan of this remix album. It flows expertly (like the original) and is filled with incredible songs. There are some SHOCKERS (Sine ahem x) but on the whole it's a fabulous listen and totally different experience from the original so I can actually enjoy it and prefer to listen to it which keeps it replayable for me. It turned out LEAGUES better than I ever thought it would

OCTOBER - Gaga releases her second collaborative jazz album with Tony Bennett, Love For Sale

In October, Lady Gaga reunited with collaborator and friend, the legendary Mr. Tony Bennett for a brand new album, Love For Sale. The collection of Cole Porter songs was met with widespread acclaim and earned six GRAMMY nominations, including Album of the Year.

Also loved to watch her performing both solo at Westfield concert and with Tony in Radio City Music Hall. He's truly a legend and so sad to see there won't most likely be any more duet performances between them.

I definitely prefer it as an album to Cheek to Cheek! Does it rank particularly highly for my personal tastes? No~ but for what it is, it's a nice listen!

The excitement in November and early December was great to see and felt like a proper roll-out. It has fizzled out considerably since but the movie has done its job and then some!
