December 29, 20213 yr Author Two names to point out - Aidan Cassar had a big summer hit with this and is most likely going to be bringing something similar. Twist is he's also probably going to be singing in Maltese. wknSQabkBoM But the biggest name out of all of them is Emma Muscat who's an established star in Italy with this song being certified Gold in the summer 9t7yMZhWEIo
December 30, 20213 yr Looking forward to see what Emma Muscat brings, would be great to see Malta continue to put together a strong sequence of results after 2019 and 2021
January 18, 20223 yr My ratings: 1. A Lover's Heart 9/10 2. Kaleidoscope 7.5/10 3. Into The Fire 7/10 4. Ritmu 7/10 5. We Came For Love 7/10 6. Come Around 7/10 7. Rise 6/10 8. Army 6/10 9. Out of Sight 6/10 10. Revelación 6/10 11. Boy 6/10 12. Look What You've Done Now 6/10 13. Shame 6/10 14. Hey Little 5/10 15. How Special You Are 5/10 16. Electric Indigo 5/10 17. II 5/10 18. White Doves 5/10 19. Over You 5/10 20. Aphrodisiac 4/10 21. Serenity 3/10 22. Heaven 3/10 Overall rating: 5.75/10 Top 5 rating: 7.5/10 Genuinely think the quality is not as bad as people think. My top 5 can all be staged well and have good reasons for qualification. I don't think either of them will do as well as Destiny last year unless there is an exceptional staging concept like Taboo back then. Edited February 25, 20223 yr by uhsting
February 19, 20223 yr This is really average... Not sure what's going on with the televoting but A Lover's Heart is SO robbed that they don't deserve her :(
March 11, 20223 yr Author All signs seem to be pointing to Malta ditching Out of Sight for another track, possibly penned by Milanov (of If Love Was A Crime, Beautiful Mess, Chameleon, Violent Thing and more fame)
March 11, 20223 yr All signs seem to be pointing to Malta ditching Out of Sight for another track, possibly penned by Milanov (of If Love Was A Crime, Beautiful Mess, Chameleon, Violent Thing and more fame) That will be a welcoming change indeed as the song on its own doesn't do anything and she can do a lot better. However, that makes you wonder whether the national selection should have been organised in the first place. In this case I would have loved either Ritmu or A Lover's Heart to win, with some production upgrades in the revamped final version and Malta would do reasonably well. I feel sorry for both Aidan and Nicole Hammett. On a sidenote, plsssssssssss release A Lover's Heart on Spotify! The YouTube version is very muted and I have to amplify the volume by a considerable amount which would downgrade the song. :(
March 11, 20223 yr All signs seem to be pointing to Malta ditching Out of Sight for another track, possibly penned by Milanov (of If Love Was A Crime, Beautiful Mess, Chameleon, Violent Thing and more fame) Good plan! When they're capable of stuff like All Of My Love, Chameleon and Je me casse and have this, it's hard not to be disappointing. It's fine but one of the most forgettable songs in a sea of forgettable and bland songs (maybe the fact I've singled it out means it's not the most forgettable, but you know what I mean ), and she is a great vocalist who deserves more than this.
March 12, 20223 yr Author Conveniently her new single "I Am What I Am" is dropping on Monday that may or may not be the new song.
March 13, 20223 yr Author Not a Milanov track but I'm fairly sure I hear Dotter on backing vocals here NWjANdKRX_w
March 14, 20223 yr As basic as it is, it’s nice to have a cute pop song this year. Such an awful year for entries in general.
