5. I Know Him So Well

 

I love love love this song and it “may” be my favourite Steps ballad. It’s definitely one of my favourite cover songs and honestly I just love it. Who needs the boys?

I do like i know him so well and liked the original too but its not a steps songs i listen to alot of as i always prefer the upbeat songs.

That’s ok!

 

The video is cute for WANE but in an amateurish kind of way. The song has something ‘X-massy/warm’ vibes but it’s definitely not their best single…by far! Happy that it reached top 5 and didn’t ruin their top 5 streak.

Ya its good it was another top 5 for them in the UK.

I know him so well is a good song so it’s hard to destroy it. I don’t mind the Steps version but they didn’t do a lot with it. Shame as some of their covers really worked!

6. Lay All Your Love On Me

 

Does the job I guess - did they do this for ABBAmania? Yeah it’s pretty good for what it is! Not one of my favourite Abba songs anyway so…

I think if it was released by someone else it would’ve just scrapped top 40 at best.

It wasnt their best choice of covers and didnt work nearly aswell as chain reaction for example.

Also Lay.. is hard to ruin. I found the production of the Steps version a bit cheap tbh. Also, they didn’t do a lot with this one. Not my favorite in this countdown!

I do like their cover of lay all your love on me but i think they also could have a better job on it as went for way more oomph on the backing track.
