I haven’t forgot about some of the Gold album tracks, as well as IKHSW, Dancing Queen etc. They’re due in a bonus listening party coming soon!

Looking forward! Thanks for hosting

And thanks for joining FTF :cheer:

The Netherlands. At one point they stopped releasing here so very happy I could get their stuff that way ^_^

Oh okay! begroeting

Thanks for hosting, a few of these songs i hadn't listened to in a while ( now i remember why for some of them :D )

Words of Wisdom:

I like this one and the spread of vocals is really nice to hear. I agree it shows a different side to them other than 5,6,7,8 which I think is a good thing. I only heard this for the first time back in 2011 when I decided to buy the singles with b-sides to complete my collection.

A Love To Last:

Last Thing On My Mind was the first single I purchased from Steps and I instantly loved this song, not as much now though. It is still decent enough. I always imagined a music video for this where they were all on gondolas going down a river.

Why?:

A really enjoyable ballad for me and it's really nice to hear Faye's vocals. All three b-sides deserved a spot on Step One over Experienced in my view.

To Be Your Hero:

This is so animated Disney movie song. It's ok but no real stand out. I know it was a b-side to Loves Got A Hold On My Heart but wasn't this a Step One left over?

A Love to Last is good but not strong enough for single status.

Why is definitely a cut above Experienced and should have earned a place on Step One ahead of it.

Too Busy Thinking About My Baby:

I was never really keen on this one but I'm starting to come around to it. It is really nice to hear a good spread of vocals though. There's a performance video of this on YouTube isn't there?

In It For Love:

I really like this one, but then again I do really enjoy Claire's voice. I agree it's really late 90's/early 00's and something like a Britney album track. I could also see this being in a Disney movie.

Just Like The First Time:

I was one of the luck few (Australians) who got this as a bonus track on Steptacular back in 1999 and it was an instant favourite of mine. Very happy it eventually reach other countries as a b-side.

I am not hugely keen on this either.

It is probably liked by many other fans.
