Commotion at the World Series of Darts Finals, a tournament played in Amsterdam last weekend. In a second-round match, the crowd showed its worst side.

The incident occurred during a match between Dave Chisnall and Joe Cullen. Chisnall was on a 5-4 lead and then deliberately did not go for a high throw-out, but decided to put himself away on a double. This to the displeasure of the crowd, who started booing Chisnall adamantly.

"This is a sh*t crowd'', said Martijn Kleermaker, an analyst present at Viaplay as he condemned the behaviour from the Dutch fans. ''This has nothing to do with darts'', he added.

Sealing the title back in 2020, Gerwyn Price is once again the World Series of Darts Finals champion silencing the home crowd in Amsterdam in a thrilling 11-10 win over Dirk van Duijvenbode.

Leading for the most part, Van Duijvenbode looked handily placed but faltered at the final hurdle and after being heckled and whistled at throughout the tie, Price took great delight in sinking the winning double and taking home another TV title with heartbreak for 'The Titan'.

On Saturday, Oct. 15 and Sunday, Oct. 16, the final four Challenge Tour tournaments of the season will be played in Leicester.

After 20 of the 24 tournaments, first place on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit is in the hands of Scott Williams. He has won four tournaments and is on top with 9350 pounds. Number two Robert Owen follows close behind with 5600 pounds, followed by Danny van Trijp (5500 pounds) and Stephen Burton (5000 pounds).

The number one ranked player will receive an invitation to the Grand Slam, the PDC World Darts Championship and a Tour Card for 2023 and 2024. Williams is still eligible for the Grand Slam of Darts. However, through the PDC Pro Tour, Williams has already secured a World Darts Championship spot and a PDC Tour Card also appears to be already certain.
