January 17, 20223 yr Author The first two entries for Ireland's rebooted national selection had their radio premiere this morning, including one from their 2017 entrant Brendan Murray. kIzAcT0p6V0 v8OtoSbUgP4
January 17, 20223 yr Ireland insisting on only having a radio rip of one of the songs available like the last 10 years haven't happened! I'm Loving Me is a good throwback bop that I think a better country than Ireland would be able to style out as retro but RTE would somehow mess it up enough for it to be "dated" Real Love is dull af - it'll probably win!
January 17, 20223 yr Real love is a borefest, im not a big fan of Brendans voice either but im sure Louis Walsh will have something to do with his entry, i do like the Rachel Goode song im loving me, def not a winner at eurovision but if staged well and sang well it could qualify.
January 17, 20223 yr Ireland scouring the bins outside of SVT HQ looking for scraps is something I'm on board with.
January 17, 20223 yr Its saying they will have an international jury involved aswell so the winning song will be picked by a combination of an Irish jury vote, international jury vote and public vote.
January 18, 20223 yr Ireland scouring the bins outside of SVT HQ looking for scraps is something I'm on board with. On that note, a song that definitely wasn't Plan B for The Mamas! c-Ictxoepqk
January 18, 20223 yr Loved Janet on X Factor and this is easily the best of the three songs so far. A potential Eurovision finalist for Ireland.
January 19, 20223 yr The next entry is already up; AeRbnNFowwo That'd be the most modern and energetic Irish entry for a long time if they pick this one! Definitely the best so far.
January 19, 20223 yr That's rich is really good, by far the best and has great potential, hopefully she nails it live.
January 19, 20223 yr Author I really hope she delivers a great live performance because, of the 4 released so far, there's no contest in who should win. But this is Ireland and much like the UK's 'attempts' at national selections, you just know Brendan or Janet would win because Linda Martin would be there talking about how it reminds her of Ireland's golden years, despite those rusting years being THIRTY YEARS AGO now.
January 19, 20223 yr Ya the Irish jury i can see going for someone like Brendan but the public vote and international jury will hopefully pick something like that's rich, Brendan probably has a few fans that will just automatically vote for him but im really hoping he doesn't go through as its clearly not the best song. Brooke needs to start building up support now to get people voting for the song and fingers crossed she just really delivers it live, if she does and it gets selected as Irelands entry i really think we should qualify with it.
January 20, 20223 yr As long as there are more songs produced by people close to X Factor with mediocre quality, I think the national jury votes will be divided enough to allow televoting and international jury to vote That's Rich as winner.
January 20, 20223 yr Brendan's song reminds me of this 91kXSOu8bOo Edited January 20, 20223 yr by Colm
January 21, 20223 yr One night one kiss from Patrick O Sullivan isnt bad at all, it does build into a decent chorus, Patricks voice reminds me a little of Brian Kennedy. For me thats rich is clearly the best song, and its between one night one kiss and im loving me for second, brendans is easily my least fave.
January 21, 20223 yr 1. Rachel 2. Janet 3. Brooke This is my top 3 with all the songs out now. Patrick seems to have some fans but I really don't understand why. Brooke may be the most modern but there's something about the chorus that doesn't quite do it for me which is why I'd just love them to go the schlager route.
