November 21, 20222 yr Really enjoyed this album - I think 'True Romance' is still my favourite song on it #unpopularopinion (if anything I think I was underrating it before x) but 'Grapefruit' is right up there as well, I need the TikTok zoomers to find that song for it to outsell all the other counting / alphabet based TikTok hits x 'Pineapple Slice' is also super infectious and I want to shout out 'I'm To Blame' which I see is the least streamed song on the album so I guess going a little under the radar, I guess that along with 'True Romance' are quite different to the sound of the rest of the album but that's a really hard hitting song as well. I think the only inessential songs here are 'Cute & Cruel' and 'Kick In The Head' but even those are still pretty good, I was kind of expecting at least a couple of bigger duds than that on here despite consistently enjoying the singles! Is it pop album of the year  (well it definitely isn't if we count 'MOTOMAMI' but we have that in the indie forum on here lol so just out of stuff posted in this forum it might be, not that I listen to that many albums posted in this forum :kink:)
November 21, 20222 yr A rare moment of me actually agreeing with deariejohn (not you being the only other person to name 'I'm To Blame' as a highlight too)
November 22, 20222 yr Well i think the difference here is a lot of people soak in & use Tove’s music for generic taste (like ‘attention whore’) whereas i’m all about the lyrics baby
May 5, 20232 yr Dirt Femme (Stripped) is out now a year after No Ome Dies From Love was released. An acoustic album with Grapefruit, No One Dies From Love, Borderline? Let me cry forevermore x
May 5, 20232 yr It's all so stunning. I think Suburbia works better as a ballad for example. Grapefruit stripped back - dead. </3
August 9, 20231 yr Well, there's an extended cut of Dirt Femme coming out with her latest singles Borderline, I Like U and Elevator Eyes: h5_Jd20TINo Supposedly out on Friday.
August 20, 20231 yr Elevator Eyes is my least favourite new song/single(?) this era but it's still a solid 7/10. The extended album is life-affirming. What an era.
