#3 All out of love

 

I wasn’t very happy to see these two form a duo quite fast after the band had split. Their material was okish though and I played the album a few times. This one is cheesy as can be but that’s what I actually like about it. It’s actually very Steps ‘Step one’ without Lee, Lisa and Faye.

 

Why?

-Their best single (imo).

-So wrong..but in the right kind of way.

-‘Won’t be that fool running back to you’.

#2 Make it last forever

 

The solo material hasn’t been that strong to be honest. I did have a soft spot for Lisa and I was happy that her album got released here in the Netherlands. This track is a ‘Kylie b-side sounding’ song but hé..I enjoy it!

 

Why?

-It’s Lisa.

-the.

-end.

#1 Lately

 

Oh, how I loved Lisa back then (how thing are different now, especially after her desperation that was shown on TSL). This was, and still is, a very decent release imo. A Kylie inspired dance/poptrack that even became a minor hit here in the Netherlands. Loved it when they played this on the radio. Not enough to reach my top 25 but good enough to be the solo release I enjoy the most!

 

Why?

-It’s Lisa.

-It’s decent.

-The memories.

#3 All out of love

Gold is a great greatest hits, from a studio album point of view your top choice is great and along with step one and tears on the dancefloor its there best albums for me.

Glad you enjoy AOOL as well. I want to like the Faye duet but sadly I’m not a big fan. I included all kinds of albums as Golden still is a big favorite with all the singles from the old days.

#1 Deeper shade of blue

 

So here we have it folks..my ultimate Steps song! My top 3 has the potential to swap but this is the one for me right now. I especially enjoy the more mature and dance vibe of the song. It was something that was needed in order to grow as a band imo. They got a lot of slack for the video here but I actually enjoy it very much (and no, not because Lee is shirtless). Even H picked this as his favorite in an online game recently ;) So all in all, great tune and my ultimate favorite :heart:

 

Why?

-A more mature dance sound but still Steps.

-The video.

-The outro.
