Looking back it was very rare for that time that a single reached its peak on its 8th week on the chart so fair play to 5,6,7,8 as it had a nice run in the Top 20.

Absolutely. It did so well despite it's #14 peak in the UK.

At the time i was fascinated by the way it bounced around the top 20 for so long as it didnt happen much back then.

It did get things started! Still, I don’t mind the song but right now it’s not my ultimate favorite.

In this part of the countdown the most important entry comes from the Lee centred ‘Turn around’. I think he’s underrated as a member of the group and I enjoy his vocals more then H. I actually don’t know why I didn’t chart this one before? It’s a typical dramatic Steps song with Lee’s lovely vocals.

Lees vocals are far better than H for me, i enjoy his voice much more but he is far far to underused.

Fair enough, I can kind of see why it's not everyones cup of tea.

Turn Around is a great song and I'm so happy to see it get some recognition.

And I’m at this stage were I can enjoy their debut single!

Glad we agree on Lee ❤️ H’s voice is a bit pitchy for me were Lee is calm and lower.

It’s time to reveal my numbers 20 to 16 for this year. The biggest change is ‘In it for love’ returning. So far it got to #25 in 2023. This year the song returns with a bang, straight inside the top 20. Why? It’s a bit ‘It’s the way’ and upbeat track that is typical Steps. Especially with Claire belting out those gorgeous notes. This could’ve been an album track on Buzz if you ask me.

Nice to see living in a lie climb as I'm still mad into this song, nice to see the slightest touch still top 20 aswell.

Living is a classic from their new material and it was time for it to rise 😊 Yes, and so much to pick from. This year was actually quite hard as I wanted more tracks do chart/rise.

Why Living in a Lie was not the lead single is still beyond me and even crazier it wasnt even a regular single.

Agree, Living In A Lie certainly should’ve been a single.

I agree. Though Takes me gets a lot of slack they either should’ve focussed on the 80’s vibe for the whole album or release Living of you ask me.

Yes, I was aware of One touch before. Lately it seemed to really click with me and is a perfect song to reflect ‘Steps in the here and now without losing their signature sound’. It’s uplifting and camp, what more do we need? At #12 we see Stomp reaching a new peak. This discolicious track grew on me as well. With the silly video it gives me all the good vibes I need.

Stomp i find is very underrated among the fans but i love it and am very happy to see it climb.

Disappointed to see what the future holds drop 6 places and out of the top 10 as its another big fave of mine.
