May 13, 20223 yr it's actually better than the review for High as Hope which only got a 5.7 :/ https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/floren...e-high-as-hope/
May 13, 20223 yr it might be because i've got my washing on but is the volume on this album is all over the place? Like does every song have a major fade in?
May 18, 20223 yr Deluxe out on Spotify!!! Didn't know it was gonna be released midweek 4 acoustic versions + a newbie current fav track is Morning Elvis, she really knows how to close an album
May 18, 20223 yr Glad she's put the acoustics up to stream, as I only got the £10 CD. I couldn't particularly justify paying nearly £30 for a few acoustic versions and one other song, even if the hardback book format looks nice. The production on the album is lush but the songs themselves will take a while to grow I suspect, my early highlights other than what we had already heard are Daffodil, The Bomb, Cassandra and Morning Elvis.
May 18, 20223 yr Just gave this a spin lastnyt and from the start it’s a really great album. ‘Daffodil’ is my favourite so far!
May 22, 20223 yr I’ve finally listened to this today! I think it’s well produced and there’s some great tracks on there. Morning Elvis grabbed me the most of the new tracks but overall I think Free is my favourite from this what a song that is! I don’t quite know how I’d rank it amongst her discography yet. It’s probably more instant than High as Hope though and I think I’ll return to it slightly more than I do that era as well. I’m happy to see that they managed to get another #1 album in the UK with this as well that’s four number ones now  :cheer: physicals really won it for them but if Kendrick had gotten a physical release they’d have likely ended up at #2. May 31, 20223 yr As an entire album, I love the aesthetic and the art direction. Picking individual songs I don't think there are many instant highlights. Choreomania, Daffodil and My Love grab me the most from the album but they are also slow growers. Best enjoyed in full. Edited June 1, 20223 yr by uhsting
June 6, 20223 yr I've been listening to this semi-regularly and it is growing with every listen. What a beautiful album. I sort of lost interest in her somewhat in albums 3 and 4, but this has me firmly back on track. I need to go back to those 2 albums and see if they hit me now. My favourites on this: King, Free, Choreomania, My Love, Morning Elvis (underrated!) - but it's a v consistent album as a whole!
June 14, 20223 yr 'Choreomania' was my immediate fave from the album tracks (was a toetapper from the off but just got better and better as it went along *.*) but I've just had another listen of my highlights and I think 'Cassandra' may be up there with it as well, can see that one just continuing to grow more on each listen in a similar way to how 'King' did for me - also really liked 'The Bomb' (a very ~warm~ song, pretty understated but still found it stood out quite a lot particularly with the sections where the instrumental drops out, I'm glad this has had at least one other mention in the thread already as I feared it might be an underrated one), 'Dream Girl Evil' and 'Daffodil' (this belongs on a movie trailer). All of the singles are still incredible as well. Really enjoyable album on the whole with only a couple of songs that didn't grab me much - I think I did like Kendrick's just a little more (to make my month late comparison which doesn't really make much sense to compare apart from the fact they dropped on the same day) but they're a lot closer than I expected really! I do find myself wishing 'Restraint' was actually a full length song, too much of a tease being a sub-minute interlude.
April 12, 20232 yr It's from the Dance Fever Deluxe Probably a “Super Deluxe” or something like that, a Deluxe version already released last year.
April 21, 20232 yr Out now! This is indeed part of a new version of 'Dance Fever', subtitled the 'Complete Edition'. R2NR-UHH1KE
April 27, 20232 yr Mermaids is great! Was this a leftover from the original album that's only now being released, or did Florence just decide to add it as it felt the same vibe as that album I wonder. Brighton Pier mention *.*
April 29, 20232 yr ^It's not new “Mermaids” is the second single from Florence + the Machine in 2023. The song was initially cut from Dance Fever but was released as part of the Complete Edition on 21st April 2023. Florence + the Machine initially teased the track through a pre-save link on their website, and was confirmed to be an addition to the “Dance Fever Universe”. ‘Mermaids’ was a song that was demoed for Dance Fever but we never got the chance to finish it. So when I broke my foot, I thought this would be the perfect time to finish it ‘cause I always loved it. —Florence Welch via TikTok Edited May 1, 20232 yr by Bjork
