About these 'hundreds' of people leaving early. At every concert I've ever attended a couple of hundred people leave early. Because they want to get a head start on everyone else and, particularly if driving, get out the car park rather than wait the normal 2 hours.

The same thing happened when I saw Robbie at Hampden. I saw quite a few people leave just as Angels started. Not because they weren't enjoying themselves but because they needed to get home kind of sharpish and knew the concert was coming to a close.

If the parking at Melbourne is anything like Hampden I'd wager that's why these people left a wee bit early. Not because they weren't enjoying the concert.

Typical UK press.

Nor me Twinky. But I did see a few people sitting near me who had quite youngish kids in tow. They left a wee bit earlier. Guess you can understand that ( but I'd have been looking for a babysitter!).

It's the least she can do after withdrawing his invite to Xmas Dinner. :(

what?? She withdrew her invite to him for christmas?? :o

Got back from Melbourne after an amazing weekend. Sunday night's show was fantastic, and even though I was way up the top of the stadium the sound was perfect and the view amazing...it was great having the roof closed :D . The crowd around me were were quite lifeless...not that they weren't enjoying it..just not many got up and danced which spoiled it a bit for me...but I guess thats what happens way up in the rafters. The gold standing area looked to be rocking though :D

Got front row on Monday after lining up from 7 am and it was beyond words. He was on perfect form yet again and I even got a wink from him which gave me shivers down my spine. The crowd were totally with him and I could even see them having a blast in the stands. We broke the attendance record for telstradome that night and the noise was unbelievable during the whole concert. No sign of kylie but I wasn't expecting her and I really couldn't be arsed whether she was there or not. There was nothing different for the last show...except he didn't come down in the gondola thingy for some unknown reason. I was not as emotional as I was expecting but I think thats because he really left us with a positive message that he was not retiring and that he would definately be back...he gave us something exciting to look forward to unlike in 2003 when I thought I was farewelling him forever.

Now that I am home, back at work, and I am feeling a bit flat and I am not quite ready to let go of it all yet. I reluctantly took off my armband this morning as I trudged into work, but I don't think I will take off my little $10 pendant...ever...what a little gem that is...I love it and was a real bargain. I kind of feel like I am carrying him with me everywhere now.

I have had an amazing couple of weekends with our boy and there is just no-one like him. He means the world to me and he brings so much joy into my life. I have also met some amazing people which made my experience even more enjoyable. I can't wait to see what he has in store for us next :D

so what did you think about what they said about hundreds leaving the concert if you were there

Suse??

I was up in the stands on the Sunday and a couple of people did leave early. One was a group of a few people with an older person who was very slow so I am guessing they wanted to beat the rush...but there certainly were not people streaming out :arrr: . Also when I stood in Sydney my hubby waited for me and said he saw a few people leaving early.

There wouldn't be any event held anywhere where some people don't leave early. Some people have this ridiculous need to "beat the rush" instead of just being patient and going with the flow...why is everyone in such a bloody rush all the time...frustrates the hell out of me (ie a father-in-law who won't stay for the last 5 minutes of a football game with the scores locked..and as a result...miss a last second victory...but don't get me started on that  )

What I will say is that on all 4 nights the 99% of 60 000 people who did stay until the end were smiling and happy and singing our boys praises, after having had the time of their lives. That 3am article is just so ridiculous I can't even take it seriously enough to get upset over it. It is just laughable that they can get away with writing such drivel.

thats what i thought, who in their right mind would leave Robbie's

concert early....if anything I'd be lingering a long time afterwards lol :)
