June 6, 20223 yr Author Promise To Try has to rank as one of her most beautiful, personal, heart-breaking songs. The opening "Little girl..." says it all - a confessional as a younger self and trying to deal with the harshest of griefs.

Till Death Do Us Part ~ 9.45 Our luck is running out of time The final track from Like A Prayer falls slightly short of making it to the top, but with two tracks top 3, the album has done exceptionally well. Till Death Do Us Part continues with the deeply personal lyrics that pervade the album as a whole. It deals with Catholicism and divorce as Madonna sings of her divorce to Sean Penn. She details the disintegration of her marriage and can be seen as Madonna ridding herself of her past demons and heartaches as she does in other moments throughout the album. In the song the physical and emotional abuse of her marriage is laid for the world to experience and her pain is shouted out from the rooftops. A personal yet universal message of hurting while in love, it's a very worthy silver medal song.
