5. It’s The Way You Make Me Feel

Kicking off my Top 5 is It’s The Way You Make Me Feel, the beautiful mid paced ballad. I absolutely adore this song and it was a contender for my top 3 definitely. Again I hadn’t listened to much of Steps prior to their comeback but when I listened back to their discography this one completely stood out when I went through it.

Yaaaaaaaas!

4. Scared Of The Dark

In at #4 is the comeback single Scared Of The Dark from Tears on the Dancefloor. Now I know I was YEARS late but this is a cry the song that got me into Steps, I never showed them that much attention in their hey day!

Anyways I instantly loved this song and it has aged fantastically, probably my favourite comeback song of all time from any artist! EPIC but so still prefer 3 other songs to it

What a comeback indeed! Glad they sorted their issues and we got some strong material like this. In the end it was worth it. Just love this track

3. Something In Your Eyes

At #3 is Something In Your Eyes from WTFH. This song was so instant and hasn’t aged a day, absolute banger, great lyrics, great video, I think this will stand the test of time too and still be this high up in years to come !

Taste again!!!

The quality is there since they came back and they have the songs that will be remembered by their fanbase at the least for a very long time.

2. One For Sorrow

So at the Silver position in my countdown it’s the amazing One For Sorrow, the very heavily Claire led melancholy but fast paced song. Again this is typical steps to me and I absolutely adore this song. Again this was one I never paid much attention to back in their hey day but it’s is perfect. However I still prefer just one more song !

1. Heartbeat

So here we are, my personal number 1, Gold position - Heartbeat. I obviously know this is going to be a hugely controversial choice and probably won’t feature in most peoples lists at all, but this song will always have a special place for me. As i’ve mentioned numerous times in the countdown I was never a steps fan until their comeback, however this was the ONE song I loved of theirs back in the 90s and the only one I actually bought on cd single, and I didn’t buy it for Tragedy. I am a massive sucker for a Ballad and I just think this is beautiful, I also love the cheesy video and Faye’s dreadlocks (although maybe not seen as PC now) still remain an iconic moment for me !

So yes that’s it !

If you give number 1 to A Hundred Years of Winter I will disown you.

I didn’t!
