Something in your eyes has a chance of winning this but I think might be 2nd with scared of the dark winning.

I think Scared will win it personally, I think the other 4 all had some lower votes (OFS, DSOB and ITWYMMF didn’t break my top ten for example) whereas I think Scared was pretty high for us all…I think!

In fact I’m gonna do another prediction and say it’ll be One for Sorrow or It’s The Way at number 5.

Kicking off the top 5 is the last of the Step One singles meaning that all 5 made it into the Ultimate 25! One For Sorrow was released in the UK on August 24, 1998 as the third single from Step One. It would debut at #2 which was Steps highest charting single at the point. It also reached #1 in Belgium and #4 in Ireland. Neon Blue is one I've really come to appreciate over the last year or so. Just reading everyone elsse love for the song has really lifted it for me.

 

One For Sorrow is my favourite Steps song, so whilst I'd like it to have done better I'm happy it go to #5.

 

#4 will be coming up before midday.

Finishing up in the deep end of the Ultimate 25 at #4 is Steptacular’s 4th single Deeper Shade Of Blue. Released on the 3rd of April 2000 it was yet another top 5 hit for Steps in the UK peaking at #4. This was another one of Steps singles that didn’t really see much of a release outside of the UK which is a real shame as I think it could’ve been a nice sized hit for them in Australia and New Zealand at least, it was a slight change in pace for them and I think the record buying public would’ve taken to it. Deeper Shade Of Blue received votes from all seven participants, including a 25 from Hazelnuts. (25-24-13-11-9-21-15).

Disappointed ITWYMMF is ahead of deeper shade of blue.

I’m also surprised with this, I thought Deeper Shade Of Blue would finish above Its The Way You Make Me Feel.
