Price 4-6 Chisnall

Price could regain the world No 1 spot following this year’s World Matchplay, as he trails defending champion Peter Wright by just £14,000.

That's far from his thoughts right now as Chisnall pins tops with his last dart in hand to keep his foot on the gas.

Price 11-8 Chisnall

Price pings two maximums and a potential nine-darter!

Now then. Can he? Nope. He can't find T19, but he does set up tops with a neat 101.

Shocking tournament for the English players considering they comprised half of the entire field and yet only one has made it to the third round!

Gerwyn Price is through to the final of the World Matchplay for the first time after a magnificent 17-11 victory over Danny Noppert which included a nine-dart finish and 13 180s!
Have to fancy Price for the win tonight on form but can't rule out MVG if he can get a burst of legs from nowhere.
And that was pretty much what happened with MVG repeating his SF heroics by only leading after the 29th leg then blasting to the victory. He was the better player but was having a nightmare on the doubles during the first half which let Price initially race ahead. So close to a 9-darter in leg 5 too!
